How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe location is exceptional for those who want a quiet spot. Just five minutes drive from two beaches too. Lovely kitchen space and beautiful veranda with private jacuzzi overlooking a perfect sunset spot. Very comfortable bed.
There could have been storge space for clothing in the bedroom area, and hooks to hang towels in the bathroom too. The kitchen could have been slightly better equipped with more space to store bought food. But overall, a really lovely apartment.

1. The bed was rock hard and we both had difficulty sleeping. 2. There was literally a construction site below the balcony with work starting at 07:00 and ending late in the evening. 3. There were many broken items including the sofa. 4. The kitchen drawer does not open fully, making it difficult to get the cutlery. 5. All of the pots had burned food in them 6. The kitchen was supplied with a pan that did not work with the induction cooker. We did not know this was the reason the cooker did not work. We asked the owner for help. He made us feel stupid by saying to us to “put food in the pan”. He sent a neighbor to help, who turned up an hour and a half later than the agreed time. She explained that the pan wasn’t suitable for the stovetop. 7. The soap dispenser in the downstairs bathroom was empty. 8. There isn’t anywhere to put away your belongings (no closet or drawers for clothes, etc) 9. Poor communication from the owner prior to arrival. 10. Poor communication from Booking.com who have not responded to my messages. 11. For the price, we expected a lot better. We expected a quality and hassle free stay.
We feel very sorry for this kind of review! Our guest are always so happy from our hospitality and our behaviour!! Most of them love the place and many guests are coming back.We would like to replay on this review for our new guests to letting them know where they coming and how booking works. We really apologize for this kind of noise but this is not from us , unfortunately our neighbours who we love , start building on this days ,is not fine but its not our fault! we chose these apartments exactly because its so quite area ,we love traveling for getting rest.. We also need to apologize for the soap that these guests didn't find,this was our fault and it was the first time that happend thats why our reviews are so kind. About the bed its one of the most expensive and most comfortable,its orthopedic and very big! No one ever told us that is uncomfortable.About the sofa it wasn't broken , its a sofa that returns to bed and one side just came out i guess the previous guests didn't close carefuly and our housekeeper didnt check but anybody can fix that .About towels we offer towels for body and hair and not for the pool . On the booking platform there are all the products and staff that we offer,all the guests must search about that before booking our apartment. After covid many things changed about being more healthy. Our cook mashine is an induction mashine that can cook healthy and quick. About our plates glasses etc all of them are clean . We are very happy that three years that we offer our apartments the most of are guests really enjoying their staying. Me,as a hoster i always answer to the messages that i receive and i always answer on the phone,thats why all of our guests say how easy was to communicate with me . I feel sorry that this couple didn't enjoyed their staying . We will keep doing our best .

Verified reviewThe sunsets are truly amazing. the location while out of the way is very quiet and close to Black Beach and the Lighthouse. The facility is overall comfortable and plenty of room to enjoy the warm days. There is a large front patio to enjoy the sunrise and a lovely back deck and hot tub to enjoy the evenings and sunset. The view over the vineyard is also nice. The host is very attentive with questions and assisting on arranging rides and car rentals. They had a wonderful bottle of wine and a vase full of fresh flowers on our arrival . At the front of the unit is a wonderful “market”, Faros. The food is very good and they have some items for sale along with their own wines. Maria is the owner and is super nice and you want to meet her. She made our stay even better.
A coupe of things to note, the bed is very hard. They do not supply coffee so pick it up on your way along with the essentials as the store is 5 km away.

The amenities and services were exceptional, making my stay even more enjoyable. Verified reviewNice accommodation for a relaxing time near Akrotiri. Lovely host that gave many advices for activities around the accommodation. We appreciated the complimentary coffee, fruits and wine, that's a very kind attention. Beautiful view from the terrace and suite well equipped and beautifully decorated.
Minor adjustments for the end of the season, it was very windy and a bit chilly. We had to turn ON the air conditioning the get warmer as we did not have a blanket. Also we did not enjoy the jacuzzi because the temperature of the water was cold. I guess the timer is set during the day, but not in the morning and not in the evening... however as we were exploring the day we would have like to relax in the jacuzzi at these times.
