How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The paint on the flush button in the hotel had peeled off and the same - for toilet lid. The right flush in the sink also did not work. The safe did not work. I would like these things to be fixed and looked after. The breakfast offered does not correspond with the price of the stay at all. They bring mainly bread. For 800-900 euros per day, the breakfast could have been made more exclusive. Uncomfortable steps - the entrance to the hotel.

Verified reviewOur stay at the Exotic Suite was absolutely amazing! The villa is nestled inside the caldera, offering breathtaking views of the volcano, which we enjoyed every day from our private hot tub. While there are some stairs to reach the house since it's perched along the cliffside, the peacefulness and serenity are well worth it! The daily breakfast, served fresh and warm, was a fantastic touch—we loved that we didn’t have to leave the comfort of the suite to eat out. The villa itself is beautifully decorated, cozy, and perfect for a romantic escape. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable getaway!

Verified reviewlocation excellent, views fantastic. The design of the accommodation is nice. Jacuzzi is spacious. The accommodation is located at the bottom of the caldera so it is a bit away from tourists so you get your privacy.
The breakfast could have been a little better as we do not think the quality matches the identity of the accommodation. Also we found some cat poo next to the pool which bothered us a whilst we were chilling outside as it smelled. Also a fair few ants around the place. There is also a tall tree around us and all the birds chill back there at night time, but it can be incredibly noisy at times with a lot of mess underneath the tree.

Didn't like being woken with breakfast at 08.30am each day - a later start would have been appreciated. And it was a lot of (sometimes uneven) steps down to the property - tricky at night!

Verified reviewLocation was terrible. 100 steps down to the Caldera suite which we already knew but Not enough help with our suitcases upon arrival down the 100 steps that were narrow, uneven and difficult. We had to request more men for help with suitcases upon departure. The suite is at the bottom of the caldera.

Verified reviewBeautifully renovated with a great outdoor area. Very comfortable with all the amenities you need, was very helpful having a small kitchen to make use of when needed. Staff were fantastic and incredibly helpful. It was very clean and well situated being within 5 minutes of the main shopping/food street in Oia - but being far enough down and at the end of a pathway so you don’t get strangers walking right past you. No direct sunset view was preferable to avoid the masses of crowds that would gather outside all of the villas with a sunset view each night. If you want to watch the sunset it’s easy to book a restaurant with a sunset view. Breakfast was also very nice with a great variety of food options and is delivered between 8am - 8.30am daily. Note there are many cats throughout Oia, and this property is no exception. You will get friendly little visitors throughout the day which only added to the charm for us.
The stairs to the property are quite narrow, steep, and uneven at times. Worth noting if traveling with someone who has limited mobility.

The suite is lower down the hill and the stairs that lead to the suite is not that clean. Be prepared to see pieces of garbages as well as fies along the way down the stairs. Breakfast basket is delivered around 9am daily so we had to get up and pickup for that everyday - delivery time cannot be changed. Airflow in the bathroom is not that good as well as the drain in the shower, so it can be difficult to shower longer than 10mins without having water overflow - we asked for this to be fixed but they said this is as good as it gets.
