Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaSome minor things that would have improved our stay. A laundry line for hanging out hand washing would have been useful - not everyone wants to give their washing to a busines and these days a lot of items are drip-dry. There is a large paved and secluded courtyard with ample space for a clothes line. An extra towel support in the shower areas, and an underbench cupboard beneath the washbasin in the toilets would have been great for toiletries because with the current arrangements we found the space crowded. Five of us were there for 4 days but after 3 days we had accumulated more waste than could fit in the bin provided. A bigger inside bin or an outside bin as well would have been useful. I would think that such additions would not be prohibitively expensive.
Location was excellent with a view over the Aegean, on the opposite side of Santorini to the famous caldera. It was a good villa for our group of 5, with 3 separate bedrooms each with its own bathroom. Kitchen/dining area was serviceable as long as you didn't want to have a seated meal together inside (only 4 seats) but there was an outside dining area seating six. However the villa is only a short walk to the main dining and shopping area of Thira with plenty of options nearby for eating out. The pool was a good size, clean and deep, although cold during our visit in early May. The bonus was that there weren't too many tourists on Santorini during our visit. The on-site parking behind a remote-controlled gate was very useful - and there was a very cheap car rental nearby!

United KingdomLocation. Beautiful view, close to the shops and The Caldera. We liked the size of the villa and its amenities. The outside area was large with plenty of places to sunbathe privately.

Lovely Villa, amazing pool. Such comfy beds. Short walk into the main strip, would defiantly stay again. Owner was very kind, and let us check out late due to a late evening flight. Brilliant stay!

EgyptI know it's a private pool, but the concept of private pool in Santorini is that just the pool is yours, but not it's hidden from others eyes, The wall beside the pool is not tall, and there are 2 or 3 builds around that can see what's going on in the pool and the villa is also close to the street, so my wife couldn't just be free with bikini in the pool or take a sunbath, Maybe this is not the case for everyone, but this is just what bothered me.
The location is close to Fira's restaurants, easy to get there, close to the bus station as well, I liked how the villa is equipped with everything you need, water, coffee, milk, plates .. etc

AustraliaWe booked at Thadeos for 5 nights and rebooked elsewhere on the first day. The property is not as advertised, and for over €430 per night, we found it outrageous to be charged such rates for such an average property. The property itself mostly reflects the photos, however the pool was a deep shade of green, not crystal blue as you see in the images. None of us were prepared to swim in it. The location of the property was also the major issue for us, situated in an area that seems to be under heavy development. We were awoken to construction noise early in the morning (drilling and jack hammering) and on the day we left there were linesmen in the street undertaking works on the power lines. I recognize none of this is the fault of the host, however we realized upon arriving we were paying premium pricing to be in a very sub par location. This area will probably be lovely in 5 years however it’s got a long way to go. The immediate surrounding area is also littered with hard rubbish and waste, you feel as though you’re situated in the middle of the ghetto. There is also very little protection from the noise of the main road, so sleeping was difficult. Other small bug bears included: no hangers in the robes, no bowls or spoons provided, the fixtures and fittings are cheap and you noticed it most in the condition of the property. We reported three items of maintenance on the first day including a leaking bidet, a broken door handle and a running toilet. We reported all of our concerns to the host on the first day and indicated our desire to cancel our booking for a partial refund, we were denied this and advised our claims were false.
The home offers multiple bathrooms off each bedroom and was nice and clean.
