How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Everything was ok, simple and clean
It was very central, easy walk to restaurants and to the ferry, even with luggage! The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable so we had a great sleep before going g into the next leg of our vacation

The fridge needs to be replaced. U had to turn it up to have things cold. But then the fridge stayed on all night

No major complaints; the hotel is historic and could use some modernizing, but you can tell that they are trying, and it was so nice to be in central Pythagoreio. Well worth that.
We had a nice one-night stay between landing from the ferry and a plane ride the next morning. Our room had a small balcony that looked out onto a central courtyard. Property is fine. WiFi was nice and fast. Our room had a fridge which was great. The room was quite small, but it had some nice touches and a good atmosphere. Helpful staff.

Some rooms are quite small. The breakfast is ok, not great.
Really pretty hotel, close to the sea and also the centre. Our room was spacious. There was a problem with the room we were initially allocated (not the hotel's fault) and Dimitri and Angelo went to great lengths to sort it out. They are so helpful, friendly and professional.

As always in Greece, in our experience, the shower was a hand held affair but it was more than adequate in water pressure etc. The bathroom in our room, Adonis, was a strange configuration with the toilet in a corner right next to (practically under) the sink. Took a while to get used too.
Hotel was ideally situated for the harbour and all it has to offer in the way of shops and tavernas. A quiet road with little noise. Friendly staff and a pleasant ambiance. Breakfast was too much for us after a dinner the night before, so only had it twice during our stay. Not a buffet, a selection of plates brought to the table with a variety of food - yoghurt, eggs, ham, cheese and bread. Was more than adequate.

The personnel were so friendly and helpful. We really appreciated their hospitality and warm welcome. The facility was clean, and you can fill your water bottle for free. The location is perfect; you can reach anywhere in 2-3 minutes.

Unfortunately the room needs a renovation, especially the bathroom and windows/shades.
Staff is fantastic; very helpful and friendly. Location is perfect. Although small, the balcony is a welcome addition.

Located right in the middle of the best part of Samos, the hotel is within 1-2 minutes distance of the best restaurants, ice cream shops and the main street. Nice and clean rooms, comfortable bed, smiling staff.

everything was ok except the construction of neighbor hotel. they start to drill 08:00AM and even in sunday. This facility has notified us to they have tried to reach the owner but they doesn't care.
Staffs are pretty friendly, room was clean. hotel is so close the main street.

The location and its proximity to the port was wonderful for us. The bed was very comfortable after some pretty dodgy beds at other places. The meals we had on the foreshore were wonderul - grilled octopus is hard to beat!

Stratos Hotel was absolutely brilliant even though it was virtually out of their season, very clean and comfortable and perfectly located for quite literally everything, so close to seafront a minute walk, if even that, just go. Also receptionist lady was very nice and friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was very poor, boiled eggs from day before! cheese ham etc was very low quality and not nicely presented, and bathrooms are very old very small the shower was broken

Resources of the hotel was quite low. Maybe the staff won't like this comment, but I believe I have to write it down. Our towels and toilet paper were only changed once because there was a paper placed in the room noting that they are making savings, but this is not a saving, instead an indication of a decline in quality. I was also surprised that the little hand soap we used in the bathroom was never changed although it become too little in a few days. There was no slipper in the room and thus we always had to use our slipper which we also used outside. 2 bottles of 500 ml water in the room should also have been changed daily, but they never did. Breakfast was something very unpleasent. Products were very limited and low quality. I only ate eggs and tomatoes, but have to admit that the yogurt was delicious.
Stayed 5 nights. Good points are the location (Pythagorion is like 2 steps away, so close!), price and peace of the hotel. Also, the staff was quite polite and helpful.
