The location was the best in the whole of that part of the island. Other people wanted to take pictures and were amazed at how we had the place. The staff looked after my son and his new wife who were celebrating their honey moon. They felt like a king and queen!

We fell in love with this gorgeous hotel in Oia, Santorini – perched atop the caldera with breathtaking sunset views. Though cars can’t reach the doorstep, the staff promptly collect your luggage from the drop‑off point. The room exudes authentic cave‑house charm and matches the photos perfectly—spotlessly clean and beautifully appointed. The team was incredibly helpful, swiftly accommodating all our requests. The iconic blue‑domed churches, shops, and eateries just a short walk. There is a small castle nearby where you can get a 360 degree view

The location is fantastic—just a stone’s throw from the iconic castle of Oia. In the mornings, you can even hear traditional Greek music, which adds a lovely, authentic touch to the experience. The staff are incredibly friendly and always ready to help. The only downside is the number of tourists passing by, which means you might overhear conversations while relaxing in the hot tub and taking in the breathtaking sea views. However, the overall experience at Sophia Castle View more than makes up for it.

Sofia Castle View is an absolute gem, located just steps away from the famous castle in Oia. What I loved the most about this place is the abundance of windows—every wall except one has a window, making the room incredibly bright and airy. You can watch both the sunrise and sunset from the comfort of your room, and two sides of the room offer stunning views of the sea. It’s also perfectly positioned right above Oia’s iconic sunset spot. While others gather below to catch the sunset, you can enjoy the same breathtaking view from your room, soaking in the atmosphere while still having your own private space. The room itself is beautifully designed in soft white and green tones, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot for taking photos, and the memories made here will be unforgettable. I absolutely loved my stay here!

Everything was great. Just to note though that the picture of the blue domes are taken at a different location and not from the room. The room itself is located right by the actual old Castle, which is a popular spot that people gather to see the sunset.

We loved our stay here. The room itself was even nicer than the photos, which is always a pleasant surprise. There was even a little kitchen, which we didn't end up using, but that would have been nice for preparing a light snack or breakfast. We appreciated the bottle of wine and water in the fridge. Favorite part was the view from the window right into the plunge pool that overlooks the caldera. The plunge pool itself was great with more privacy than most of the other pools we saw around Oia since it was tucked away a bit. Our host was provided a lot of suggestions, but the best part was arranging a 30 minute window for us to take photos from a private look-out area at one of their sister properties. This is where you get the famous view of the 3 blue domes. It was almost worth for this alone since we didn't have to wait in the long long line to get a shot like everyone else.

The staff wasn’t prepared for our plans , he says everything will be ready in time and we don’t have to worry about anything, but then when it’s time for our plans it’s always late and he forgets about it. And when he booked for us the yacht he made us pay double the real price it was too expensive for everything.

Love it all. Amazing.

Loved the whole experience. Being our third trip to Santorini where we never had stayed at a place on the island with the postcard view, we simply wanted to find a place that had the views. We didn't so much care about walking around visiting places on the island. Basically staying in and enjoying the room and views. Well this place doesn't disappoint. It's views and amenities are amazing. You don't need to leave if staying for a few days. Even cooked up our own Octopus and enjoyed this with wine on the balcony. Views are the best. Definitely one in the best places we have stayed in. Best tip I can give is take the transfer organised by Sophia Castle View to and from the ferry or airport who took or luggage to the venue (it not fun to do yourself given the steps etc) and clearly saved us from trying to find it. It's not cheap but not much is in Santorini in the summer.

We waited where instructed for a porter to meet us. After 1hr and multiple phone calls we decided to walk to the room ourselves, we then waited another half an hour to be greeted. I was very disappointed to arrive and realise we didn’t have the pool. Don’t be fooled when it advertises accomadation with a hot tub pool. This is the downstairs accomadation. The have a seperate room upstairs. Due to crowds it was hard to access the accommodation especially during sunset. Breakfast would be great benefit for the owners to consider including considering how much you pay for the room.

Perfect sunset spot but it is ridiculous busy in peak season! Cute little balcony to enjoy drinks or food. They allowed us to check in early which we were very greatful for. It’s a very basic but pretty room, comfortable bed! Expensive but expected for oia in santorini.

There were some bugs and a cockroach. It crawled underneath our kitchenette and couldn’t get it out!! We messaged them for help but was told that the cliff area will sometimes have it. It took awhile but scary as it was scurrying around our room so fast! We couldn’t sleep because we thought there was more and couldn’t get one of them out fast enough

The view was amazing!! We had the top room with little balcony. Great location! We got help to walk our luggage from drop off and pick up area

Perfect room for a couple. The location is right near the castle with the perfect view of the caldera. The only minus is the pool which is not 100% private bun I guess you cannot ask for this in Oia.

driver was 40 minutes late to pick us up for our prepaid return trip to the airport. Almost missed the plane and had to end a perfect trip with the tremendous stress of potentially missing a plane and ruining the rest of the honeymoon. The good news: We didn’t miss the plane. As long as the driver shows up on time, this is a perfect place to stay! Awesome
