There wasn’t really anything we didn’t like….a lift would be nice as there are a lot of stairs!!

If you are looking for luxury with exceptional service then look no further than Santonero. The hotel is perfect if you are looking for peace and quiet and total tranquility. There are only a handful of rooms (I think 8 or 10 at most) and are all set perfectly that you get complete privacy in your own spot. Katerina and the rest of the service team are excellent and are at your service for your whole stay. All communication is done via WhatsApp whether it’s ordering drinks, lunches and dinners etc or if you wish to organise trips or get advice. I’m sure as the hotel gets busier (it’s still quite new) they will move to an app based ordering system, but for now WhatsApp is perfect and Katerina is very quick to respond. The location of Santonero is in the south of the island and away from the super busy Oia however it is only 30 minutes away in a taxi if you want to visit. The views are breathtaking and located perfectly to see the sun set from your room each night. *Top Tip* for the sunset, take a bottle of something nice and go to the top of the stairs and sit on the wall…you will have a completely private and full view of the sunset on the horizon. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Santorini and Katerina and the team made it so easy and perfect.

We had the most unforgettable stay at Santonero, and we can't thank the team enough for making our trip to Santorini truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beauty of the property. The rooms are stunning, the panoramic views are out of this world, and the private balconies with infinity pools are pure luxury. But what really set this experience apart was the incredible hospitality. Kostas and Katerina were absolutely sensational — they went above and beyond in every way imaginable. There were things they did for us that most hotels wouldn’t dream of doing in a million years, especially around making our check-out-to-airport experience work more for us than for them. Their kindness and attention to detail made all the difference, and we’re so grateful. A heartfelt thank you also goes to Giannis, Iraklis, and Chef Rasheed. Each of them played a special role in making our stay so memorable. Whether it was service, support, or incredible food, they helped shape a trip we’ll never forget. Santonero is everything you dream of when you think of Santorini and so much more. Saying we’d “highly recommend” this place feels like an understatement. Unfortunately the weather was not cooperating so we were unable to take advantage of our private pool or hot tub but that was no fault of the facility.

We loved the location, it was quiet and serene and away from the crowds. It was an easy (if driving in Santorini can be considered easy) drive to get anywhere we needed. The breakfast each morning being delivered to our room was a nice touch. The staff were always so helpful and attentive! The view was beautiful although we didn’t have a sunset view but that was ok. The room set up was very nice and roomy!

The hot tub was more like a mini heated swimming pool. It was a lovely size and clean, but if it is windy and/or colder outside, the water is tepid . It could have helped to have a cover for colder days that could be removed when you want to use it so it could hold the heat better (and save on having to constantly heat it). If the "hot tub" was properly warm or hot, then it would have made the room 10 out of 10, but otherwise the room was beyond expectations. This is not a fault from the property at all since the landscape is evaluated but just something to keep in mind if you or someone in your party has accessibility needs. There are a lot of steps at the property and may not be suitable for anyone with accessibility issues, especially if you are planning on coming/going from the property often throughout your stay.

The location, room, staff and food were all excellent! Breakfast each morning was customisable to what you like by filling in an order the day before. The other all day room service menu consisted of all very delicious and fresh housemade food with local produce. The staff were all incredible! Also, the whole suite was picture perfect and felt surreal with how beautiful the room/location was, especially when enjoying that incredible view from the pool or terrace.

No sun at the pool , at any given time - so having an infinity pool in October that dosent get any sunlight is not what you’d expect to coming all the way from abroad . So we couldn’t use the pool at all , although it was windy , but if at least the sun hit the pool , we could have used it

The staff were really good. They are so kind and helpful. Our check in was very late due to plain delay at 00:15 but the staff were so kind and prepared welcome package including fresh fruits and alcoholic beverages and also our checkout was so early so they prepared us very good breakfast the night before and gave it to us. Everything was great The location is great for having a relaxing and calmness journey but if you want to be in a popular locations like oia, it is far from and you need to use bus or rent car/quad which is close to hotel location

Brand new apartments, equipped with everything you need! The highlight were the amazing hosts, who was indebted to all our needs, along with being available 24/7. Secondly, was the amazing included breakfast, with an array of options for each days stay! Will definitely be choosing Santonero, next time we visit Santorini!

WiFi went in and out our entire stay, mostly out. Air conditioning only worked in part of our suite. However staff was very apologetic and accommodating. We were offered a free dinner and a voucher for our next stay.

There are no shops, cafe or supermarket near the hotel. For everything you have to travel by car or taxi. Booking's advertisement states that there is a washing machine and a dryer in the room, but this is not true. There are paid laundry services and the difference is big for those who come with a family and for several days. The hotel itself has a lot of potential to be amazing but right now there are things that need to be improved. For example - one day we were without water in the room and other days there was no hot water. Another day there was no internet. At the same time, as soon as they knew about the faults, they tried to fix them as quickly as possible.

The view is the most significant part of the hotel. Simply wonderful and exactly in the place for those who need to relax and recover. The room itself is very large and spacious, the beds are comfortable and there are all the accessories needed for a comfortable stay. Also, in my opinion and in the opinion of the rest of my family, the breakfasts were great and very tasty, served in abundance and suitable for vegetarians like us. The staff did their best to make us feel comfortable, always with a smile and good will.
