Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe found just 2 espresso capsules in the room, we asked for more and got just 1 extra, which felt a bit ungenerous
Very pleased with our stay in Poseidon Paros. Room nicely decorated and well maintained, bathroom well designed and stocked with everything needed. Comfortable beds and quiet room. The shared areas are kept tidy and clean. Breakfast was good, not too crowded and everything looked freshly prepared.

FranceNothing was amiss. I do recommend renting a car however as the hotel is on one of the island’s nicest beaches but rather far from Parikia, Naoussa or other spots. Renting a car is much cheaper than using cabs and allows you to fully enjoy your stay in Paros.
This hotel was our favorite of our stay in the Cycladic islands (Mykonos, Paros, Santorini). The location is great, with sea views all around and a cute little chapel on site, the hotel itself is very pretty with its Cycladic architecture, it is very nice to be able to go from the hotel’s pools to the Golden beach in less than 2 minutes, the rooms are comfortable and large, breakfast is excellent, the restaurant is absolutely top notch … and the staff (as often in Greece) couldn’t be nice or more helpful. Warmly recommend !! PS : even the hotel cats have names and are obviously cared for …

United KingdomThe property is split in two and in one part tehre are constructions. To reach my appartment I needed to walk jn front of a building site, plus the restaurant was far away. You should have another restaurant for breakfast and lunch on that part pf the resort as it is not well served.

United StatesHotel staff were all outstanding and happy to help in any way. Food and beverage manager + employees couldn’t have been better and really seem to have mastered the art of hospitality. Resident cats at the property are all happy, healthy, fed daily, given vet care, and well taken care of by the hotel which is comforting knowing the employees/owner are compassionate towards the animals as well.

RomaniaBreakfast poor for 5 stars and the pool very simple , no entertainment, not very welcoming this can be improved, nothing for kids. No late checkout policy, I received 1 additional hour after I complained...even the check in policy is from 3pm. I wanted a massage the therapist refused because I am 4 months pregnant..but I asked to have it for my husband and none called us back...and they have a Spa .
Location super nice, we've had superior room with sea view, that was great.

NetherlandsUnfortunately there was some bad weather the first day of our stay which polluted the pool and it took multiple days to clean this up. This made the pool unavailable to use during the days we stayed there. Luckily the beach is close by (however our daughter really prefers the pool)
Beautiful hotel with great services, a lot of breakfast options (even for somebody with food intolerances), beautiful spacious and clean room and a comfy bed.

SwitzerlandThe Poseidon is considered a 5-star luxury hotel. In terms of location and view it really is. For a full luxury experience, comparing other hotels of the same class, a few things could be improved: Water - there is only one bottle provided at the day of arrival. The tap water is no drinking water. We were told we can get water at the pool bar or restaurant. Since we had a car, we went to the supermarket and got a couple six-packs for the rooms. In a hot summer destination water should be easier available. Room service - there is a fee. For one day we ordered room service because of a foot-injury and were charged 10 Euro extra. Breakfast - for the two week stay was standard as in any other hotel. With respect to the limited resources of and island, a bit more variety would still be possible. Eggs could be provided to order. For non-coffee drinkers there are only standard tea bags (black, green, chamomile etc.)available. Bathrobes in the room - we got them after asking. Noise - because of the tiles you hear easily movement from the guests above, I.e. when wearing hard sole shoes.
The hotel is located on top of a little cliff with amazing views of the ocean and Golden Beach. Ocean access is via a swimming platform from which two ladders lead directly into the water. The water is deep there and you cannot stand. There are some steps leading down to the platform from the hotel garden and a couple of meters of natural rock to walk over to access the platform. The water is crystal clear and bringing snorkeling gear is recommended. The beach is right next to the hotel, about a 200m walk. There are no free sun beds, rentals are about 40Euro per day. The hotel garden is beautifully designed with lots of plants between the buildings and a little chapel. The hotel is located in a quiet area, off the main road with a few beach bars/restaurants in walking distance. Supermarket and pharmacy plus further restaurants are a 10min car ride away. I suggest renting a car for more flexibility. The rooms are spacious, most having a balcony or seating area. Staff was welcoming and supportive, especially at the restaurant. Housekeeping was top and very friendly. Special thanks to the Spa, the massage was indeed a treat.

United StatesWindy all the time means doors will slam if you have the windows open... maybe add some weights, doorstops or just use your shoes like I did. We loved all the cats but just know they are everywhere!
Gorgeous hotel, perfect beach location, easy to get everywhere on Paros. Extremely professional and helpfulstaff who knew all the guests (including food allergies!) everywhere we went. We loved the breakfast - the food, coffees and views are impeccable! If you are a family traveling together a suite is worth spending a bit more - our patio spaces were gorgeous!
