The views from the sunset side of the hotel.

We weren’t able to book a sunset suite and ended up in a sunrise suite instead (not the hotel’s fault). However, all sunrise suites face the road—a detail not disclosed in the description. The road runs just a few meters from the pool, so the constant noise of cars, buses, and motorcycles is unavoidable. Privacy is limited, and while you can see the sea from the suite itself, you cannot enjoy the same view from the pool as you can on the sunset side. The pool design is also not ideal: it’s quite deep (around 2m), so you can’t simply stand and relax. Additionally, the pool area lacks shade, making it difficult to sit outside or enjoy breakfast comfortably. On the positive side, the room itself is spacious, comfortable, and equipped with the five-star amenities you would expect. However, the property has no bar or restaurant, only room service. Breakfast is average and not very convenient to eat in-suite. Location is also a challenge: unless you rent a car, taxis are very expensive, as nothing is within walking distance. We had planned to stay three nights but checked out after two to move to a livelier hotel for the remainder of our Santorini trip. As frequent travelers who often stay at luxury hotels worldwide (Maldives, Seychelles, Thailand, Dubai, Europe, USA), we believe we can fairly assess this property. Based on our experience, it’s difficult to understand how so many reviews rate it a 9 or 10. Advice: If you do decide to stay here, book a sunset suite—it’s the only way to get the views and privacy you expect from a Santorini stay.

It’s the best hotel in Santorini, the area where the hotel is located is very quiet and relaxing. The staff are very friendly, polite, helpful and welcoming. Every time you visit Santorini you must only book this hotel.

Almost don’t want to leave a review because I don’t want others to find out about this place! Was so incredible we already booked for next year. We had the most spacious (60 sqm) and beautifully designed room, with a large pool, and the most wonderful caldera views. Complimentary top quality sunscreen was a special touch. Loved our stay!

The staff were exceptional and extremely helpful. Answered every question I had and helped us arrange some medication needed from a local pharmacy, arranged our tax transfers and gave us a wonderful tour.
