How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewEverything was perfect! Excellent value for money, staff were extremely nice! The owner is one of the warmest and nicest people I have had the pleasure of staying at. It was extremely clean, new and nice! The AC was also very reliable and actually worked as was supposed to. Pool was cleaned every single day. Location is also really nice: close to the center but far enough that it is quiet and one could chill on the terrace in the evening. Overall: perfect! 10/10

The parking is tough to find in the evening. You have to spend some minutes to find a spot.

The toilet and shower were rusty, so a renovation would be good considering the price per night in July. The hangers for the towels were not stable, so our towels kept falling on the floor.

Verified reviewWonderful Stay – Highly Recommend! I had a fantastic experience at this lovely small hotel. The location was perfect — right in the center but tucked away in a very quiet and peaceful area. The room was beautiful, spotless, and had everything we needed. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and we appreciated the little touches like the kettle and glasses. Housekeeping came daily and kept everything looking fresh and clean. The receptionist was very friendly and welcoming, which made check-in smooth and pleasant. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again!

The shower wasn’t working properly — sometimes there was no hot water, sometimes it would turn cold, and sometimes it wouldn’t heat up at all. The shower itself was broken and sprayed water in all directions, which made showering really unpleasant. No one brought us coffee or tea, and there weren’t any in the room — not even water. The fridge kept turning off, so we couldn’t keep anything cold. We even bought ice cream, which completely melted. Overall, the conditions were not very good. The jacuzzi was supposed to be included, but it was never turned on or functioning. On the positive side, we appreciated being able to check in early, and housekeeping came by every day. Thank you.

Dear Guest, Thank you for repeating your comment twice – it certainly helped reinforce the impression that several of our facilities, as well as other basic aspects of your stay, were misunderstood. Allow us to clarify a few points: Firstly, an ice cream cannot be preserved in a fridge; it requires a freezer. Had you asked us, we would have gladly informed you that placing it in the minibar – as you did – would likely result in it melting. That said, we assume you may have actually been referring to the electricity key card. In that case, we feel it's important to inform you – and the readers of this unfortunate review – that the minibar fridge, along with its power source, functions independently of the card-activated electricity system. As for the tea you requested: please be assured this was not something personal. It simply stems from the fact that, as clearly stated in our listing, we do not offer breakfast – let alone any form of room service, such as tea delivery. Regarding the shower, we sincerely apologize. No malfunction was reported or noticed after the departure of the previous guests, but we will of course follow up on this immediately. Now, concerning the jacuzzi: our outdoor unit is intentionally kept covered when not in use and is opened upon request. This allows us to keep the water clean, prevent debris from falling in, and ensure a calm environment with only 2–3 users at a time. There is always staff on site during pool hours precisely to assist with this. Finally, we must admit we're surprised. You were impressively expressive in writing, yet none of the four adults in your group chose to mention even one of these concerns during your stay. That’s a shame, because a sincere conversation at the right moment might have improved your experience – something a negative review, unfortunately, never can. Verified reviewWe had a great stay! The location was excellent – quiet, peaceful and easy to access. It was perfect for a relaxing break and everything we needed was close by. The beds were so cozy! A bonus point was that we could find parking right next to the hotel every day, which made our stay even more convenient. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others looking for a calm and easy to reach place to stay.
The only thing I didn’t like was that the shower and toilet were a bit old and might need updating. However, everything was clean and overall the experience was very good.
