Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandStaying at Kalimera was an absolute pleasure! The hotel is located in a stunning, picturesque area and perfect for relaxation. There's a very peaceful and family-like atmosphere that makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The breakfasts were tasty and fresh. The owner is a truly lovely and kind-hearted woman – always helpful, smiling, and committed to making sure guests have everything they need. The entire building was spotless, and our room was cozy and well-kept. It’s the ideal place to relax and enjoy some quiet time. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for peace and comfort.

United KingdomAs lovely as the pool was, the children weren’t allowed to dive or jump into the pool and it felt like they had to be quiet.
The rooms were spacious and very clean and the restaurant by the pool served some lovely food! The pool was lovely and clean, although perhaps a little too clean as our pale swimsuits changed colour!!! The breakfast was nice. The staff were incredibly helpful :-)

Gorgeous property off the beaten path in the traditional village of Akrotiri (away from the tourist crowds in Oia/Fira) but close enough to some shops and great restaurants. Bus stop right outside made it easy to get around the island. Room is small but comfortable. Pool area is excellent! Owner/staff are wonderful and so helpful, truly went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Helped us book taxis to and from the port and provided local recommendations. Breakfast was the best we’ve had in Greece!

United StatesKalimera is a lovely small hotel on the outskirts of Akrotiri. The rooms are simple but functional and offered at a fair price. The pool and restaurant area are exceptionally beautiful and offer a lovely place to play or relax. The breakfast was generous and delicious (especially the yogurt!). Aktotiri is a much quieter town than the rest of Santorini and while it doesn't have the famous "built into a cliff" aesthetic of Oía or Fira, it is much lest touristy, much less crowded, but still has great restaurants and fantastic views. In fact, I would argue that the sunset and sunrise views of the island are infinitely better from Aktrotiri than in Oía where we stayed as well (plus you don't have to fight hoards of instagram influencers to do so). I would gladly stay at Kalimera again.

United KingdomNothing, is great
Great hotel, the lady that runs it is fantastic, can't do enough to help. The location is perfect, right in the edge of the village (great bar/ taverna in the castle). Wonderful pool, breakfast had everything you'd want, food served in the evening and the top deck is the perfect spot for sundowners

United KingdomWe received a lovely greeting from Flora who spoke excellent English. She was very helpful, explained everything about the hotel and the surrounding area, where we could visit etc. Our room, we had a choice, was very clean and perfect for our needs. She arranged transport for us as we were travelling to another island. Breakfast was good as was our meal in the evening.

BelarusWe loved our stay very much. Amazingly kind and helpful hotel manager. Thank you so much! Very good room - everything is so comfortable and thoughtful - good mattress, great shower, balcony with a great view, just perfect. Very good breakfast! Great pool and common area. A very peaceful, quiet place, where you can truly rest. The bus stop is just in front of the hotel - very easy to navigate through the island. The center of the village with shops and restaurants is just a 5 mins walk. We were in heaven, thank you for our amazing stay.

United KingdomBeautiful! Spotlessly clean, plentiful breakfast, great pool in a lovely lush garden (most hotels in Santorini are very bare with no foliage). Bus stop right out front. Several very good restaurants in easy walking distance. In a lovely quiet (but not dull or remote) part of the island, largely free of the daytrippers off the cruise boats.
