Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicBeautiful resort right by the sea, set in a beautiful garden. Low modern and comfortably equipped buildings, three large pools, plenty of sun beds. Excellent food, different theme every day. So I don't understand some reviews that complained about the variety of food. I would like to see what these people cook for themselves at home. We were extremely satisfied here and plan to return.

GermanyThe only major thing is not about the hotel, but about the place itself - wind. It was pretty windy when we were there (up to 30 km/h) - it helps you to tolerate the heat, but at the same time it creates waves. And they could be big enough for a red flag. During about half of the 10 days we spent there we could only jump at waves in the sea, not swimming (but we still could satisfy the need in an indoor pool I mentioned in "pros") The only hotel-related thing was air-conditioning. 90% of the time, it worked absolutely fine, but sometimes it automatically switched to "sun" mode. In that mode, it appears to ignore the temperature settings you set (just airflow), and you can't change it yourself. At least we didn't find the way to do it
Amazing hotel! Everything controlled by the hotel was close to perfect. - lovely hotel area that is built as a traditional village with 2-storey stone buildings. Doesn't feel like hotel at all - food is very diverse and of decent quality - staff is helpful but unobtrusive. Special thanks to smiley Rabin, who always brought great mood at breakfasts! - room is spacious and stylish (also feels quite new, and I found that rooms were renovated in 2020, it can be seen). We also seem to get quite lucky getting a room on the 2nd floor with a spacious balcony (we had a standard "garden view" room) - in spa zone there is a pretty long straight indoor pool - free of use for All Inclusive guests - it can save those who'd like to swim during wavy days at the sea

Switzerland-
We were on vacation as a group – the resort is beautiful and the location is perfect. The pools and the beach are just perfect. The food was amazing, and the restaurants really impressed us with their stunning locations and excellent cuisine. The staff is incredibly friendly – a huge thank you to Eleni and Thanos! You couldn’t ask for better service at the pool bar during peak season – we looked forward to seeing them every day (not just for the drinks!). We were also warmly welcomed and served by Rejus at the other bars – truly great service.

SwitzerlandThe bed was not comfy at all, but this is truly based on my personal experience! Other people seem to find it perfectly fine :-)
Food was great, staff very welcoming and super nice. Even lots of veggie options and everything declared (allergies etc.), bars and restaurants had many options as well, very tasty food. The beach and pool area are great as well. Would recommend if you‘re looking for a place to simply relax!

IsraelRight after check in you get a ride around the hotel grounds to your room, where you witness the most spectacular views one can ask for. The calming pools, the colorful butterflies jumping from flower to flower, the incredible sea view, and the sound of the waves when lying on the super sized bed. The seafront room was specious, clean, with a big shower. The service at the bars was outstanding, with very good cocktails and ambience. The operations manager checked with us that we are satisfied and asked for improvements and we had NONE. Perfection.

United KingdomNothing really.
The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. We arrived late at night due to a delayed flight and we were shown to our accommodation then provided with some food in the restaurant. We needed an additional room as one of our children wasn't too happy on the sofa bed in our room and this was arranged, as was a late check out on departure day. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and went above and beyond. The food was fantastic, especially at breakfast in the Ayeri restaurant and the pool bar during the day, as was the service. Rooms spotless, we had a fabulous holiday. Thank you!

GermanyWhat could be better: - Some staff were not suuper friendly, especially at the guest helpdesk and our first check-in, we've been welcomed more nicely at resorts in the past - When you shower a lot of the room gets wet, but I feel like that's just all hotels?! :D - A bar at the beach would be cool (there's one super close but not directly at the beach) - Seating arrangement for the evening entertainment was terrible, it didn't fit a lot of people and you had to share space with others, would be cool to do this differently
We really loved: - The food was super good and we liked the buffet as well as the restaurants around the property (we had 1 restaurant reservation per restaurant included, we would have not paid for it separately to be honest, wasn't good enough for the price) - The amount of areas you could relax at was amazing - three pools, the beach and also lots of seating opportunities around the property - The property was very rustic and not what we would define as "luxury" but we did love it, because of all the plants and it felt like you were in a little city of your own - The rooms were spacious and we had a huge balcony and AC

GreeceMusic and acrobatic programs didn’t interest us.
Location and nature, beach too. Full buffet, helpful staff, very friendly. Loved all the various, diverse seating areas as well as the grand entrance and village atmosphere. It’s similar to walking in a village. No straight lines and beautiful Mediterranean gardens everywhere. Even the shops on the premises were SO helpful and friendly, as was the life guard. Privacy in many areas.

FinlandThis was our 4th visit to this excellent hotel. Everything is as always at the highest level. The breakfasts are excellent, the staff is impeccable, cleanliness, comfort, entertainment program every evening, here we got everything we need for an unforgettable vacation. The hotel's territory is stunningly decorated, like a medieval city surrounded by a garden of Eden. There is clean sand on the beach, comfortable sun beds, beach towels can be changed daily to clean ones. At the exit of the hotel there is a street with shops and taverns where you can eat delicious food and have fun shopping. But the hotel is quiet, as it is separated from the street by a park. I sincerely recommend this hotel, and I would like to come here again with pleasure.

SwitzerlandThe restaurants were great in terms of atmosphere, location and service, but the food was sometimes "only" good, not excellent, given the prices. It's complaining at a high niveau though. Just be aware that there are also excellent and inexpensive greek restaurants in walking distance around the ressort that are worth checking out.
We (2 people) stayed at the Ikaros for one week in September 2024 and had a great stay. The resort met or exceeded our expectations in almost every regard. We spent most of our time at the beach and around the pool areas, it is a great place to relax and enjoy the sun. The staff was very friendly and also the SPA (where we booked a treatment) was excellent. There were things like an upgrade to a bigger room or a complimentary breakfast after giving feedback that really stood out and made us feel welcome.

RomaniaOne minor thing: the beach/pool umbrellas are semi-transparent, so what you get is not real shade, but just a kind of ‘filtered’ sun. But this is probably a matter of personal preference
This resort is amazing, with its beautiful cretan architecture, the palm trees, the bougainvilleas, the alleys. Very accomodating main restaurant, clean, friendly staff, incredible food. Rooms are impeccably clean, comfortable beds.

RomaniaNot much to say, just a few suggestions: A Nespresso machine in the room would be a nice touch. At breakfast better to find a way to keep butter cold. Reservations on the computer for the restaurants in the evening does not work for those who are not in the all-inclusive list. We solved many other little problems with the help of the staff, so thank you again!
We expected much from our stay at Ikaros Beach, Luxury Resort but what we found exceeded those expectations. From the greeting to goodbye, the care that we were surrounded by the resort personnel made us feel comfortable despite the little shortcomings of any hotel or resort of this size. We were impressed by the gardens with flowers and palm trees, the architecture of the buildings with stone walls and timber, the general impression of a village with different perspective at each corner. As we got only breakfast included, we tried to dine in town, only to come back, as the choice from the five restaurants we had in the resort, and the quality was of no comparison. A very good appreciation for the Spa.
