A little further away than other places from the restaurants and other activities of Fira but still easy to walk to the mini market and main street!

Wonderful hotel, the room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed and a beautiful bathroom. The pool was lovely and a good size with quite a few sunbeds and umbrellas around it, as well as outdoor sofas and chairs/tables. We got a really good Genius deal on our room which is the main reason we picked this hotel, but even at full price I think it would have been decent value for money if you are interested in a more restful pool holiday.

I didn’t sleep too well, the bed was a bit uncomfortable but a minor issue.

The pool was great, the staff were lovely and the seating area was very nice. The cleaners were excellent and was very clean the whole time.

Clean, stylish rooms! Beds were made and rooms cleaned daily. Reception were amazing and 24/7 service. Pool clean and so nice. Short uphill walk to the main area and to the cliff edge. Was perfect to step out of the chaos when we got home a short walk away.

It was a comfortable stay. I thought places like Santorini you need to pay so much to have an average stay. But I was wrong. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and we took advantage of pool and balcony too. Location was good too.

First of all, Golden Star is a proper hotel. It might not be a seaside frontline hotel with a sunset view but it ticks all the checkboxes when it comes to "decent place to stay in Santorini". Our room was large enough, spotless clean and very comfortable. The reception staff has also been very kind and professional. The pool area was a really nice place to rest and enjoy a few hours of tranquility. As we had a rented car, we particularly appreciated the fact that the hotel has its own spacious parking. Also, the hotel is just a few minutes walk from the main street with bars and restaurants and 8-10 minutes drive to the airport (is was our last day in Santorini and this was important)

I'd have liked some more shelving in the bathroom and wardrobe and more hooks to hang towels. Our baby kept grabbing and emptying our washbag as the only place we could store it was the floor.

Lovely hotel very close to Fira town centre. We really liked the huge swimming pool which was shaded in the afternoon (perfect for swimming with young children!) Mario was so welcoming on our arrival and gave us a map and some local information in terms of buses and things to see on the island. We had a triple room which was long with a double balcony (view of the pool and coast) and had an alcove tucked around the corner where our son and daughter slept. The design was quite clever as it felt like we all had our own space but the kids were still visible. The beds were comfortable and the room was spotlessly clean. Overall a brilliant stay :)

The only downside was that breakfast wasn’t available. Still, I would gladly stay here again.

Wonderful hotel with friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms, and a fantastic location. Perfect location right next to the bus station, which made getting around so easy. Highly recommended — I would definitely stay here again!

No food available in the hotel so you do need to walk to the nearby square to get meals. But the walk is short and lots of food options nearby

Lovely staff! And good location for walking to nearby sunset area and restaurants. Room was comfortable. Pool room had shutters so dark at night which is great given early sunrise.
