How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Dirty sun loungers

We provide cleaning service upon request, but only if guests ask, as many prefer not to be disturbed or to have anyone around their personal belongings. There were constant photo shoots right outside our porch. No privacy because we couldn't relax in our hot tub or sit on the porch loungers because people were always walking back and forth in front of the porch or stopping in front of the porch to take pictures.

Verified reviewEven better than the photos! Great place, and great location. Easy walk to downtown Fira and just a block from a grocery store and a bus station. The views are amazing, and it was nice to have a jacuzzi on site. The host was super-responsive throughout the stay and we had a great time.

Verified reviewVery spacious and comfortable rooms. My children shared the larger bed in the back and my husband and I took the slightly smaller space in the front (that had its own AC unit) there was a large living/dining area to stretch out inbetween our bedrooms. The bathroom was separated with one space being the toilet and the other had the shower. Both those rooms had sinks which was helpful. The hot tub was inviting and relaxing after a long day of walking around Santorini. The beautiful views can not be described to give it justice. There was a lot of photographers/photo sessions outside our room early in the morning and again around sunset which was fun to watch however we did make sure to shut our windows to give ourselves privacy.

Verified reviewThe experience of staying in a cave house was lovely and the views of the caldera were beautiful. The two bedrooms were clean and comfortable. The smaller one had air-conditioning but the main one didn't.
Only one bathroom! The path out front was very very busy. No privacy if you are outside or in the hot tub. Long walk to restaurants and main sights.

Our exceptional location, marrying stunning caldera views with accessibility (no steps), is a key factor that attracts guests to book with us. Many of our guests, as highlighted in their reviews, appreciate the tranquility of our spot compared to other bustling areas on the island. However, it is important to note that expecting complete solitude on the famous caldera cliff, a global hotspot, during the peak season is unrealistic. Regarding privacy concerns in the hot tub, you may have observed that traditional cave houses on the caldera cliff are designed amphitheatrically, contributing to the unique charm of our island. Despite this, our hot tub is strategically positioned to afford a degree of privacy not always found in neighboring locations. We didn’t realize people would be lined up on our front step all day every day waiting for their flying dress photos to be taken.

Our traditional cave house is located in Imerovigli village to the spot with the most stunning views of the island and it is normal that everybody who travels to Santorini want to have a photo there. You mention that you loved our place, the facilities, the comform, the cleanliness but you rated us with '7' for something that somebody else did in a private road that has nothing to do with us and it is out of our control...? The least I can say is that it is really unfair to us!!! Please reconsider...

Verified reviewHIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Olga, the home owner is WONDERFUL! She was very communicative and was always checking on us to see if there was anything we needed. Ethereum Luxury Cave was everything we could ask for - the home was gorgeous with the best views. right outside in front of the home there was always a "red dress" picture happening because of the views. (this was not a disturbance at all) the home was clean, spacious and incredible. Olga even left us some wine and a breakfast loaf for us.

Verified reviewThe location was fantastic with a spectacular view of the caldera and only took a few minutes to walk to from the road. The home was very spacious and was very comfortable with one master bedroom, one separate bedroom, a kitchen, dining area, and living room. The host, Olga, was very helpful and easy to communicate with. She even accommodated us to have a late check out due to our departing flight leaving later in the afternoon. She also provided a welcome bottle of wine and cake, which was a sweet touch. I went with friends to celebrate a milestone birthday and the location was perfect! It was about a 30 minute walk to Fira and we also hiked from the home to Oia. The home is in Imerovigli, which is located at about the center of Santoroni, so we loved the location. I highly recommend Ethereum Luxury Cave. Thank you, Olga, for a wonderful stay!
The property was fantastic, but we went in early April, which was still pretty cool temperature-wise (mostly 50s Fahrenheit) and since the restroom is in a hallway, it took more time to warm up after starting the heater. Just something to keep in mind when you want to use the restroom or shower. Otherwise, the home was fantastic!

Verified reviewThe cave is nestled in the quiet town of Imerovigli. The cave is very cozy and comfortable for us. The view from the cave is crazy beautiful and the surrounding is full of the different unique white and blue cave. Pack your camera gears! The location of the cave is also very good. Within a few min walk there are a few great restaurants and grocery stores. There is a bus stop about 3 min walk from the cave. It's also a short 20 min walk to Fira center. The cave also comes with a jacuzzi and our daughter had fun in the warm water during our stay. Olga, the manager, was so helpful throughout our stay. She checked on us on daily basis and made sure we are doing OK. The restaurant in Oia she recommended was so good. Make sure you try out Roka in Oia! We will definitely stay here again next time.
