Our favorite was the amazing breakfast, so much so that our group of 14 booked a private dinner to celebrate special birthdays. The chefs at Amara’s prepared a traditional Greek family dinner for all 14 of us. We enjoyed, lamb, chicken gyro, sea bass and shrimp, along with delicious salads and their own wine. All was superb!

This hotel is well maintained, clean, friendly staff with excellent food and amazing location. The family who runs the restaurant make the restaurant stand out and it provides a welcoming atmosphere. Our group of 14 enjoyed our time in the pool and the proximity to the beach and shopping in the nearby shops. I loved the private pool and jacuzzi as well as the daily room/towell service. The hotel also provided and arranged affordable and safe transportation to multiple locations during our stay in Santorini.

Everything was great!

My stay was exceptional! The owner Dimitri was very welcoming and accommodating- the family/staff were lovely also. Food was great, I felt very comfortable and my family enjoyed their stay. The room was amazing- so beautiful, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were able to have a driver throughout our stay from the hotel- the driver was very kind and overall we had a great holiday. The hotel is very close to Kamari Beach- such as beautiful location. We will be returning. Thank you Amara Suites for a great holiday!!

Dimitris is the best hotel manager. Once you arrive you feel at home. Warm welcome from the beginning until we left. Great breakfast, and we tried a few restaurants in kamari, but the best food was in the hotel !!

It was my second stay at Amara Suites and I will definitely come back to the same place again. It is such a beautiful, modern, clean and hospitable place. The family who runs it is so lovely and they make sure You have everything You need. They make you feel like it is Your own home in Greece. The breakfast is great and lunch/dinner is so fresh and more tasty than most of the restaurants by the sea! Location is fantastic. I really loved how clean it was at all times. I really hope to see Dimitri and his family soon again! Thank You for taking care of me and my parents on their 40 yrs wedding anniversary.

The best thing about the Amara Suites was the amazing hospitality. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The property is well designed and comfortable. The children loved the pool. The breakfast was brilliant and the staff were very considerate and careful with managing my daughter’s food allergies. We will be back!

Nothing. As I said, it’s perfect.

A stunning oasis of calm with a beautiful pool and only a 2 minute walk to the beach. This family run Boutique hotel is a special place and it’s perfect. Thoughtfully designed landscaping and zen like bedrooms with opulent bedding and room touches . The breakfast was a major event and so clever. You got to eat and try everything. There was no awkward self service and queueing, but instead, a platter of fresh breads, pastries, fruits and all derivatives of eggs, bacon. I am getting hungry as I type. This is THE PLACE to stay on Santorini and my family and I cannot wait to return.

Dimitri (who runs the hotel) and his family are the most accommodating and amazing people we have ever met! The service Dimitri provides is incredible. Every guest wants to spend as much time with him as possible, as he is so personable and fun to be around. Each morning, you are served the best cooked and most generous breakfast I have ever experienced - the food at Amara Suites was better than anything else we had in Santorini. We ended up mainly only eating in the hotel as nothing else could compare!! The hotel itself is beautiful, modern and the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. The room is cleaned everyday, fresh towels/bedding and water replenished. The location is perfect walking distance from everything you need (shops/beach/bars/restaurants and perfectly located to have no noise disturbing you at night!

All was wonderful

We had a truly wonderful stay at Amara Suites. The entire property has such a relaxing and calming design — everything feels intentionally created for rest and comfort. The layout of the hotel is especially beautiful, with the suites centered around a serene pool area that becomes the heart of the space for hanging out and eating. It felt peaceful and private, yet inviting and social at the same time. Our room had its own private hot tub, which was such a special touch — perfect for relaxing in the evenings after a day of exploring. The room itself was spacious, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully designed to be both stylish and with functional AC and mini-fridge. The staff were exceptional — warm, welcoming, and attentive without ever being intrusive. You can tell this is a family-owned hotel by the care and pride they put into every detail; there’s a genuine sense of hospitality throughout.. The food was excellent as well — fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with love. The hotel can also arrange car transfers to and from the airport or around the island, so don’t hesitate to reach out to the very friendly and helpful owners for assistance. We left feeling rested, cared for, and already dreaming of coming back.

Well, if you go to a hotel with this kind of rating the expectations are very high. We never stayed at a place with rating 10, so we were very curious and yes you might look for things which maybe are a bit disappointing.... You will realize quickly where the rating comes from and that it is well deserved. Nothing disappoints, they will do everything to make you feel at home and to make your stay perfect!! So nothing less than 10 is well deserved for this great place and the beautiful family running it!! We will definitely go back there!!!

We simply loved everything about this beautiful, cozy, clean and warm family driven hotel. The rooms are spacious, cleaned by their amazing staff every day and the jacuzzi on the terras was perfect!! Even the shower of the room is perfect!! We didn't have any issues but I am sure that if we would, it would be solved immediately. The pool and terrace are great as well, it's clean and perfect to relax. And then the breakfast and the food..... wauw.... everything which comes out of their kitchen is amazing!!! It is honestly the best food we had on the whole Island, and we been around. And last but not least; Kamari is a perfect location to visit several places on the Island. It is not as hectic and busy as Fira and Oia and does offer enough facilities. From there you are everywhere on the island within 20 minutes tops. We would like to thank Dimitris, Helena, Georgios and the whole family and staff for making our holiday perfect!!

The hospitality was truly exceptional. We were warmly welcomed by the owner, Dimitri, who graciously assisted us with booking our trips and arranging our transportation. We were completely at ease, as everything was thoughtfully managed, leaving us with no concerns whatsoever. It’s announced as a 5-stars hotel. It’s not a 5- stars hotel and it’s very , very far away from the quality and the professional management from the big hotels ! The people are trying to achieve a certain level of quality but it’s not possible with this facility ! The real value per night is maximum 150€ , not the amounts they are asking for!

It’s a family house with the whole family involved and I want to support their efforts!

A beautiful oasis of relaxation! This place is a true hidden gem — the perfect spot to unwind and recharge. The family who runs the hotel is absolutely wonderful: incredibly warm, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything you need. The rooms are modern, spotless, and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The cleaning staff does an amazing job — everything was always perfectly clean and well-maintained. The breakfast was a real highlight — everything you could ask for! The Greek yogurt was the best I’ve ever had, the fruit was incredibly fresh, and there were plenty of protein options for both meat-eaters and vegetarians. I would 100% recommend this place and can’t wait to come back!

Very nice property!!! Located close to the beach. Rooms were well maintained and luxurious. We had jacuzzi in the room. Property had a big swimming pool and was well maintained. Kids used the pool a lot and were happy. Most amazing part about the stay was the breakfast. Freshly prepared, lot of varieties and amazing taste!!! The owner was very friendly and quite helpful in getting cabs and arranging catamaran rides.

Excellent doesn't even do this hotel justice. In all my travels I have never enjoyed a stay more than I did with Dimitri and his family at Amara Suites. From the moment you walk in you and made to feel like family. From his wife cooking the most amazing meals, to Dimitri greeting you with a hug and a handshake each morning it really was the most enjoyable 8 days at Amara for our Honeymoon. You will not go wrong booking a short or long stay here and when booking don't forget to add the breakfast. The highlight is the homemade Greek Yogurt with local honey and walnuts.
