There’s just cold water in the shower. But honestly you get used to it so fast. If you don’t prefer it, you can always request for warm water.

What an extraordinary place! It’s like a beautiful oasis in the middle of nowhere, where you can actually relax and unwind. Matthias and Sunkar were so friendly and accommodating and made us really feel like we were visiting friends and family and not staying at a resort. And of course the food. Every single dish was absolutely perfect, especially the Chicken Yassa. Thank you Sunkar for cooking these delicious dishes. Also a big thanks to the staff, who were all so courteous and made sure, that we had everything we needed. The beach is just a 5 minute walk and there’s a restaurant called Santosha right on the beach with clean beach beds, so you could just chill there all day and enjoy the beautiful and secluded beach, all to yourself, and most importantly there’s no pestering from any beach hawkers on the entire beach. Don’t forget to take a walk to the close by villages, to get a feeling of the local Gambian life. And you could easily hop onto a shared taxi from Gunjur, if you ever want to visit Banjul or Serrekunda for literally nothing. It’s not so difficult to find a taxi on the main road close to Little’s too. If you’re a fan of tranquility and really want to detox, and stay away from the busy and maddening Serrekunda, this is the place to be.

Peaceful and tranquil surroundings, close to the beach, amazing friendly staff, comfortable bed and spacious room and bathroom. Lots to do and see in the area and surrounding areas, ,great places to eat nearby! Highly recommend if you want to be away from the more touristy parts of Gambia . I will definitely be back !

We had an amazing stay at little’s. The rooms are in a beautiful garden full of gorgeous plants and birds. The beach is only a short walk away. Dinner was delicious and rooms are very comfortable and clean. On top of that, Little’s hospitality made us feel really comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

A relaxing oasis, a short and beautiful walk from one of the nicest beaches in the Gambia. The resort is full of trees, flowers and birds - best appreciated lazily from the comfort of one of the hammocks... The hosts were exceptionally friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, and the service excellent. The rooms are basic, but comfortable and clean. If you want to enjoy the Gambia at its best, I would recommend you stay at Little's.

This is a very nice place. It's basic but in a lovely quiet location close to the beach where there is a small beach bar. It's run by Little and Matthias who were very helpful in arranging trips, sorting out cash etc. All the staff were so friendly and Kamaro (?spelling) is a really good cook. We also found all the local people we encountered on the beach and in the local towns to be really friendly too.

A wonderful and welcoming place to stay. I can highly recommend. The place is really beautiful and calm. The beach is only a 1 or 2 min walk away. The owners and the staff are fantastic. It felt like Staying with friends that you know for a long time already and you feel immediately like home. They are very helpful with everything and will give you good advices about possible activities in this area and they will support you organising small trips if you want. Also the food is fantastic. The cook is doing a great job. Many thanks to everyone for the wonderful time - A baraka Barke ;-). I will definitely come back. Simon

I had such a nice stay at Littles. It was off season and we had the great pleasure to be the only guest in the super tranquil, beautiful retreat. Just a short walk from the beach and not too far from Kartong, Little's is a fantastic place to go and relax. Staff were very friendly, food was some of the best I've ever had and rooms very comfortable. Little's is also female and Gambian run which made me even more happy to support. Thanks for a great few days and see you soon!

Lovely round hut with comfortable bed and mozzie net and lovely walk-in bathroom. Nice verandah to sit out. Very quiet and relaxed and Little and her staff were helpful and accommodated all we wanted. Breakfast was good. Check out the chicken curry for dinner. Great location 5 mins walk to the wonderful Santosha beach bar - relax there on sunbeds in the day enjoying Babou's delicious smoothies. Return in the evening to take in the warmth of the fire and the rhythmical drumming under huge African starry skies.

This is a wonderful, cozy place in the lap of nature. Аway from the noisy tourist places. We stayed 3 nights, and now we really regret not staying longer (so we are already thinking about the next trip to The Gambia to this place). A couple of minutes from the loft, there is a beautiful, almost deserted beach and a bar with incredible sunsets. And there is an incredible staff here who is ready to help with any little thing. Very tasty and fresh dishes are prepared by their chefs.

Little and her staff offer excellent hospitality and service. The property is serene, tucked away in the forest with only the sounds of the wind, birds and distant surf. The accommodation is clean and comfortable, though know that the shower water is tepid. The beach is a five-minute walk away. It is wide and extends for miles. There are little places where you can relax, purchase fresh juices and food. The meals are prepared to order, so let the staff know ahead of time what you'd like and when. Especially recommended are the shrimps in onion sauce. Little's also provides an excellent base for birdwatching in the Kartong area. Little's also is appealing in that it lacks the commercial feel of some of the larger and more expensive places.

Breakfast was excellent. Lots of tasty, warm fresh bread, fruit, locally made fruit preserves and honey. Eggs, Coffee etc. All visitors loved everything. Very helpful staff.

Our room (with ensuite WC and shower) abutted accommodation occupied by staff: terrible snoring! Non-shared "huts" are available - a better choice. The plastic waste on the beach is very distressing. Meals were always rather late (so walk before you eat!).

Secluded, shaded lodge that feels safe. Simple accommodation and a good choice simple meals - local recipes and ingredients. Not far from the beach. Very few people; peaceful. Good for birding: lots of ospreys (in February).

Excellent rooms in a wonderful garden with lots of exotic birds. Close to the beach and not far from the wetlands and the Allahein River in Kartong. Unique birdlife. The hosts and the staff are extremely helpful with anything you might desire. Delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Good WiFi.

I prefer softer mattress; but I’m sure that could’ve been arranged - I was being typically Swedish and not saying anything; but still might be good to know the mattresses are pretty firm.

The most tranquil little oasis. The beautiful people that work there put you right at ease; cooking wonderful food; offering any help; and just generally creating the peaceful atmosphere in this beautiful garden five min from the sea.
