How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewGreat place to stay, lots of lovely touches like chilled bubbles and food in the fridge. Had everything we needed. Loved the location and watching the boats go by. Loved watching the planes take off and land
Only downside and it was only a small downside was not being able to use the sundeck or being able to remove the screens as it would have allowed a breeze
Pleased to hear you all had a great time on the yacht! We have the back canvas completely down over summer and Autumn, but we do usually keep a screen only above the cockpit windows to provide a bit of shade when sitting inside. The sundeck is always available when the back covers are off - we'll ask Erwann our manager to better show guests how to access it, thank you for that feedback!

Hi Gary, thanks for the review but we do make it clear in the house rules that no additional guests outside the booking are allowed onboard (for insurance reasons, risk of damage for yacht-specific features our host will show you on arrival - and also to be fair much like all other hotels or apartments worldwide too), and this was also mentioned by our manager on arrival - but you still intended to invite others round. We helped to get things ready for your marriage license too, so would be annoying from our side to be given a lower score for all categories because you wanted to have a party, because otherwise we were told you all had a very enjoyable time in Gibraltar :(

There is nothing we didn’t like! A cautionary word for others - we loved (and knew from other reviews) of the proximity to the runway - loved seeing all the planes coming in and out - but planes are noisy!

Verified reviewIdeal location, had absolutely everything you could need/want. Very central, lots of bars & restaurants, easy walking distance everywhere. Contacted several times by owners to see if we needed anything topping up. Lots of hot water, & the showers were great. Fizz left by Jordan & Valeria as we were celebrating a birthday, soft drinks, beers, water & juices in the fridge . Food for breakfast & lots of fresh fruit The yacht was amazing & all for our own personal use. It was such a wonderful experience.
The weather! but there was nothing that could be done about that. But we made the most of it.

Verified reviewEverything! Living like millionaires for the weekend! The location was amazing. Central to everything and Lady Anita was right on the end of the marina. Watching the planes taking off and landing was spectacular. Views of the rock, marina and sunsets . Fizz/ beers and a generous bowl of fruit on arrival. Hosts were very helpful. Kept in touch and offered brilliant recommendations.

Verified reviewThe location in the marina was lovely and the yacht was clean and tidy with a change of towels etc during the week. Snacks drinks and continental breakfast food was also there on arrival. The rep was very pleasant and available if needed.
When using the air con in any room there was a loud noise in the master bedroom that did disrupt our sleep a little,so we had to limit the use. The guest bedroom was very short of space and very little storage space for clothes etc.
Hi Melvyn, sorry to hear you had problems with the air-con -- we have very good Dyson fans in each bedroom that we recommend can be on all day because the (main) engine-powered air-con is powerful. Our manager will have mentioned on arrival and we have signs to turn it off eg when leaving the yacht, but I know there is a lot to cover on arrival. The guest bedroom has a large cupboard, under bed drawers and also a large sets of drawers behind the door beneath the TV unit with plenty of space, sorry if you didn't see that - I'll mention to Francisco to spend a little more time with guests to show them some of these features - with so much on board it's difficult to cover all the features we have but we do our best!

Verified reviewAbsolutely beautiful Yacht, with plenty of supplies including breakfast cereal , meat , cheese, wine, beer and soft drinks . In a great location so you can see the planes taking off and landing at GIB, and the marina with plenty bars and restaurants is a short walk away , as is the Main Street for shopping .

Staff on time at arrival and departure. Staff texted during stay to ensure we had everything we needed. Would 110% recommend.
