Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNo faults.
The stay on the White Dove was everything and more than expected. If something different, in a very different location, is what you want then Tracey and Johnny are for you. Tracey could not have been more accommodating and the boat is located in a beautiful setting with all amenities very close by. Cannot fault either the team or the accommodation.

LithuaniaWell it is a boat and it rocks in water, but the marina is in a bay so you don’t have to deal with the open sea waves at all. And the airport runway is about 200m away, so it will be a bit noisy, however the Gibraltar airport sees only a few flights a day so that’s also not that big of a problem.
The hotel was very conveniently located near some lovely restaurants and shops, and despite being a boat it was still somewhat spacious and had a full kitchen. Granted, this being a small boat the caveat was that the toilet facilities were limited, and full showers were at a nearby marina (2 min walk), but otherwise the stay was pleasant.

HungaryNothing what cannot be amended or discussed with the owners directly. As well the few dislikes may be more personal preference this time - not sure yet.
Perfect location and close to everything! It is a well equipped place and very comfortable. How far the bathroom is.. relative. If you have a running stomach or you cannot move well because of disabilities/injury it may be, otherwise the quality makes the distance shorter. :) ... The breakfast was good also at The Ship (not this :) ), there are generally good restaurants around. Also to mention Simon/his wife who used to do pickup services - I met with Simon and cannot recommend more anyone for such assignment (and many other things).

AustraliaThe toilets are a 3 minutes walk away which was fine and anyone reading prior reviews will know that. Unfortunately the two (wee only( toilets onboard both smell bad and this pervaded the boat for a few days until I could air it properly. Would have been a perfect experience if these had been deodorised before my arrival.
Fantastic location, 10 minutes from airport, 5 minutes to bus station, and within 25 to cable car. I stayed in Little Dove, the yacht next to Jasmine Coral Jay, and had the boat to myself. Neat and tidy inside with a heater which was helpful.

United KingdomIt is different to stay on a boat, a lovely deck for relaxing (if staying in 'deluxe' room). Comfy and quirky. Please note, showers and toilet for number 2s are off boat (literally 90 second walk), but are high quality and clean), breakfast is at a cafe a few minutes walk from the boat and was fairly decent. Enjoyed the stay, thank you.

New ZealandCould be noisy when people returned at night and in the morning when up early it was difficult not to make noise as communal area was above rooms. Although this didn't really bother us.
Great location in the marina not far from restaurants and bars. Cheap alcohol could be purchased on the boat and tea and coffee and water was available.

The marina location was ideal for my yacht training course, and as it happens for access to the old town and climbing the Rock. I like the informality and found Tracy really helpful and friendly with advice and guidance on details related to the course and sightseeing 👍

United KingdomCons: The boast is tired, and though it does not go to sea any more, there is still smell inside, of old stuff and gasoline as well. Breakfast is in a cafe on shore, which nice, but toilet for number 2 and shower is on the pier as well, which is a little bit more challenging. Also, it is a small boat so you literally hear all the noises other guests are making, which can be just disturbing or altogether embarassing. And one final piece of advise. Book the Deluxe Double Room with Balcony and Sea View if you have a chance. This cabin at least has some light in it through the windows and is above sea level. All other cabins have tiny portholes for windows and are very dark and dank.
I absolutely liked the Ocean Village in general and JASMINE CORAL JAY Boutique Boatel in particular. Very unusual experience if you have never slept on a boat. I have, so I more or less knew what to expect and was prepared for all the pros and cons. Pros: The boat rocks you to sleep in the night and is moored right in the middle of the spectacular Ocean Village, easy walking distance to the historic city center and literally next door (boat) to the dolphin safari tours.
