Reviews of Charming 1BR just off Main Street prime location

Location was very convenient, and the flat was well maintained. Many facilities were provided, and all worked well. No issues and the flat was comfortable.

The curtains in the bedroom were not thick enough to entirely block the streetlight, which could be a little inconvenient.

Great location and it was a comfortable apartment for a couple of nights. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would recommend this place to others.

The aircon in the apartment is a table top unit meaning it is very loud and doesn’t do a great job of cooling the place down. The ventilation for the aircon is via the window meaning that the window is open constantly. If you are a light sleeper you might struggle to sleep while the aircon is on. The other main criticism was that the kitchen was not well stocked or very clean. There was old food stuck to the chopping board and cutlery, and some of the knives were blunt. We cleaned them before our use but it didn’t look like they were well maintained. I noted that some of the other reviews for this property criticised the curtains in the bedroom, while these are light, they didn’t bother us. However if you’re a light sleeper you may struggle to have a sleep in with the curtains. Overall, it was a nice stay and reasonable for the price.

Very easy to enter property (just as long as you can remember the code as no keys). Great location, very clean with all facilities for cooking. Comfortable bed and very clean.

There was only a portable air conditioning unit so you would have to move it into the bedroom as it wasn't sufficient enough to cool the whole area. No problem, although it was noisy you soon but used to it and can sleep well as it cooled the bedroom down.

The apartment was in an excellent location and was wonderfully presented. It was nice and clean, and the perfect place to rest after long days of exploring Gibraltar! The staff are incredibly communicative, ensuring we had all the correct information ahead of our stay. We would love to stay again!

quiet street right off main street

shower was facing window and there was no main curtain that wasn't see through, people walking by could potentially see you shower naked or sleeping either no way to have more privacy. building could do with numbers on outside as finding the room was difficult at 1st

Good central location, and given it's off the Main Street it's pretty quiet as well.

WiFi didn't work as promised- a major problem as I had to make alternative arrangements at my own financial cost to take work calls. The hosts were not helpful at all here, making me contact the internet provider on their behalf, and then did not make any efforts in sorting this while I was there. Aside from that issue, the apartment was pretty poor. The bedroom/bathroom were small, and felt extremely damp. There are also no curtains in the bedroom either. The kitchen facilities were basic and looked extremely tired. Overall, other than the location, there were essentially no positives about this stay.

The location was excellent, within easy reach of every thing.

Confusion when obtaining the key code. Could do with a window blind or blackout curtains in the bedroom.

Easy to find. Easy to enter. Right in the centre, but on quiet side street. Perfect for single person or couple for a short break.

Great location on a quiet street at night. Seems to be a safe and clean area of town. Plenty of hot water. Good WiFi/TV. All major kitchen appliances were new although not used by us. Bed linen and bathroom towels were clean. We still enjoyed our stay and providing the minor things are addressed I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay here.

When we arrived the property smelt very strongly of bleach. Too strong to sleep comfortably. The maintenance staff arrived quickly when requested. I had to ask for a cleaner to try and remove the smell. That was done to a degree. The toilet seat was loose and i had to request for it to be fixed. The window in the lounge/kitchen wouldn't close and I had to ask the same guy if he could close and lock it. The toilet/washroom is very small. The shower cubicle is fine. We found that the sofa in the lounge was a bit old and the seats had sunk. Cold accomodation. There wasn't enough heating for the time of year. I had to move the only electric radiator from one room to the other. There is not enough space around the bed and door. The curtain/drape in the bedroom was too thin to prevent light from the streetlight on the wall outside the property from flooding the room with light at night. Some electric wall sockets need upgrading. Some didn't work at all. Some were a bit iffy.

The thin white curtain let in the bright street lamp when sleeping The TV had no terrestrial channels to view (Netflix/Amazon was available using your own personal accounts if you had any)

Nothing really, bathroom could do with a refresh but otherwise perfect.

No information booklet in the property giving direction for rubbish disposal etc

The location was perfect for me, for what I had chosen to do with my time. I was suitably impressed with the electronic access mechanism. I slept completely undisturbed by any noises off. It was a pleasant, simple and relaxing retreat with a great shower. When I arrived in Gibraltar it was very easy to find; the instructions could not have been clearer.

Lovely clean apartment off the main road, stylishly decorated, near to all amenities.

Very noisy in the night with the seagulls ( I know that can't be helped ) The bedroom was very light,there was a lamp post right outside the bedroom window, maybe could do with a blackout blind.

Love the central location near Casemates Square
