Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomExcellent location, walk out the door onto beautiful cobbled streets full of shops bars cafés and restaurants. Easy 5 minute walk to the cable car to go up the rock. Rooms are old fashioned, bathroom and toilet are very outdated, but everything was clean and worked. Fridge in the room which was nice, excellent air conditioning unit. There is a pool with garden area and pool bar which was a bonus. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We also got parked at the hotel door (we were possibly lucky as there are only a few spaces), but reception gave us a permit so there was no fee to pay.

United KingdomLocation: n/a Room: very 'tired' furnishings/carpet, plus we were unfortunate to have an extremely bad ?leak over a Bank Holiday weekend causing a large wet patch in the centre of our room. Probably due to the age of the carpet, this made the room extremely smelly when locked up all day. The extremely lovely and helpful staff were unable to resolve the issue during our stay or offer an alternative room, so we had to have a window open at night due to the smell and were bitten several times by mosquitoes. The AC unit was too noisy to have on when sleeping, though we tried. Breakfast: A plain yoghurt option with separte fruit would have been preferred, but appreciate this may be a cost issue.
Location: very central and not too noisy despite this, with excellent access to transport links all day. Room: had everything we needed - good bed, 2 desks, phone, hairdryer, wardrobe, fridge TV, WiFi etc. Spacious ensuite with regular hot water. Breakfast: Lovely hot coffee, reasonable selection of food, lovely staff.

United KingdomThere isn’t a restaurant for evening meals or entertainment so you’d need to go into town for that, but everything is nearby so it’s no issue. The breakfast unfortunately stops early at 9.30am and the bar closed quite early on a number of occasions
This is a fantastic place to stay. It’s clean, quiet, comfortable, centrally located and with air conditioning in the rooms. It also has a lovely outside section and a little pool which is a delight to swim in. It’s also very good value for money and the staff are very friendly and helpful

United KingdomI stayed in The Bristol Hotel whilst enroute to Seville for two nights mid July 25. The hotel has a fantastic location in the old town with restaurants, shops and bars at it's door step. It's also only a 10 minute walk to the cable car to take you up "The Rock" to visit the monkeys and other attractions. I required parking and the hotel has a small limited number of spaces reserved on the street at the front ot the building. I would say around 10 spaces. There's also a motorcycle park across the street which i believe is free. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is in great need of restoration. My room was cleanish , however, very fusty which created a smell. The beds were very old and squeaky. My room had a mobile air conditioning unit which was seriously loud. Other room facilities were fridge and TV. The bathroom had shower over bath with little pressure. A hairdryer is also supplied. As a seasoned traveller i found this hotel expensive £274 for two nights. If you require breakfast that's an additional £7 which is continental. I really don't mind the cost however this would be for me a 2 star hotel with regards to the standard of facilities. I can most definitely recommend the location but not the hotel at this time as it simply is in need of alot of TLC. The building is quirky and attractive and could have so much more to offer.

United KingdomThe a/c was very inferior. It seems that the warmer it was that less it wanted to cool. The wors part was the way it was installed. It pointed to the bathroom, so we had to leave the bathroom closed and the cool air would get stopped at the area where the door was. I have medical issues and had hoped to have a cooler retreat from the weather.
It is a great location to great food and shopping. The staff was very nice and the breakfast was just what I like. I loved the classic look of the lobby, it gave a great sense of history and elegance.

AzerbaijanThe room doesn't have a full air conditioner, it's rather something called portable AC, which is very weak. The room also had only a window looking to internal courtyard, so view whatsoever.
The staff, especially the man at the reception who lent me a socket adapter and the woman who works at bar, who was very kind and helpful to me despite I came very very late to the breakfast.
