How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

It was hard to think about a bad thing other then the muskito next to the pool but if I need to mention something maybe the fact that some travels snore but thats it really
Top definitely coming back for breakfast, easy acces, lively staff and meeting other Travellers.

If I have to say something is that the mixed room on the ground floor feels a lot warmer then the one on the first floor. But other then that I love the double toilet and shower facilities. Thanks
Breakfast amazing, I fell in love with the local lemonade and sobolo juices but al road amazing staff. Safe and definitely worth coming back too, thanks so much

It was a little noisy but nothing too bad.
We had a really good stay at Somewhere Nice. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, the people friendly and the breakfast delicious. The facilities were adequate for what we needed: comfortable beds, clean bathroom, and common areas to hang out. The black African soap provided is a nice touch.

The hotel is well designed and decorated, the smell in the room is fantastic and staff is friendly. There is a tasty breakfast. There is a swimming pool. Guests are from outside Ghana I think.

Sheets had stains, staff not the warmest
Cool place tucked away in the eastern urban part of town. Single room is nice, with a lovely balcony and rustic wooden design. Public places also nice to hang out. And great breakfast!

Somewhere Nice is a really special place. A home away from home for all travellers. The staff are consistently beaming with happiness and willingness to help or just to chat and share stories. The place is so well maintained, with skilled people consistently making cool upgrades. The pool is a dream for being in Accra, the food is sensational and served at all times of day. Somewhere Nice lives up to it's name, and is truly one of the best hostels I've stayed in globally. Thank you especially to ChiChi, Robert, Regina and Ni for making my time here so special - I can't wait to see my Somewhere Nice family all again!

No one was available to open the gate, causing us to block the street for several minutes. Bringing a private vehicle that needs to be parked can be challenging.
Beautiful rooms. A very simple, clean European style. The staff is very friendly.

Beds could have been a bit more comfortable but weirdly my back got used to it.
breakfast, staff really friendly and went out of their way to help me, pools was a nice touch, food was good although a bit slow. rooms were clean.

Only suggestion I have is to have stronger AC in the room. The AC was set to around 17-18 and I could barely feel it. The AC stopped working momentarily which made it feel humid inside, there was an overhead fan but it wasn't enough to keep the room cool enough. It got fixed/started working again pretty quickly.
Overall, very satisfied with my 4 night stay here. In no particular order, I appreciated: being able to use my Visa card to pay for the reservation, laundry (gotta pick it up the next day), coffee bar (regular bar too but I don't drink), meals, AC in the room (for the most part, see below), very clean rooms, bathrooms and general areas, nice common areas to lounge in, pool, good security (have to get buzzed in but they're super quick at it), someone always staffing the check in desk, central location, great price, local food across the street. Staff very responsive overall. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

It would’ve been nice to have a shelf and some hooks to put or hang things on.
Chill spot with friendly and helpful staff. The area’s alright, with some food stands close by.

Everything was perfect
We liked everything, the room, the location the delicious food..special thanks to the chef Nii who helped us to rent a car to drive around Ghana, he was really nice and helpfull all the time.
