Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

United KingdomEverything was good. There was no breakfast, but that didn’t make a difference to my stay.
The staff was great. They really went out of their way to help you out. My room was basic, but that’s all I needed. They’re currently building a restaurant/bar and a pool on the grounds. So, they’re really doing it up. I’d stay there again.

United KingdomThe room was secure, good air con but otherwise quite basic. However, they do have a big fridge of drinks for sale and a kettle in a communal room.
Location is good for the airport and for getting to the beaches (Labadi Beach hotel charges 150 GHs to use it's facilities including private beach and two lovely swimming pools) Oxford Street, etc. Staff were great and couldn't have been more helpful. The hotel has a little car and will take you where you want for the same price as Bolt (like Uber). However, their car is clean and has working seat belts.

United KingdomWifi was a little patchy and not accessible in the room, but really that was just a minor issue.
Staff were very friendly and accommodating to every need. I had a late flight and they allowed me to stay in the room later so I wasn’t left with my bags walking the streets. I had a problem with the water in my room and they immediately changed my room without any disputes. They also helped to arrange my breakfast.

GambiaI was disappointed by my recent experience at a hotel there was no Internet available for 2 days, and even more so when the manager refused to issue me a receipt for my stay. He claimed that because Booking.com's fees does not include VAT so I will have to pay extra cash just to get proof of payment. This practice not only seems like a blatant attempt to dodge tax obligations but also falls short of the transparency and fairness that customers deserve.
