How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewLocation was good and nice view from the terrace. As well owners offered us to try homemade wine.
First of all the building is old, as well as all furniture and facilities, and it will look nice on the pictures until you actually arrive and realize that all of the furniture is broken( beds are moving and squeaking, chairs and table are not stable, in the shower tap was broken and 4 out of 4 times there was no hot water, which later the owner told that he actually turns off the hot water. So every time you need to shower you might end up asking them to turn it on and they will do it not with the sincere pleasure. The property look dated and had a lot of antique decor, but it was not maintained at all, sockets were broken as well as all furniture. When we arrived there was no one at the house, and we had to find a way to call owners to get to know they are out but would be back shortly, so we had to wait. It is mentioned on booking.com and reservation confirmation that room comes with a private bathroom, but when we arrived we were surprised to discover that the bathroom is outside the room, with a cold water, also you have to walk to it through a hall and car rental area.

Verified reviewIt is good value for money. The host is very nice and he let us use the kitchen. The room was good but I didn’t know that the bathroom was outside of our room and we had to share it. Location is great.
The bathrooms could be better maintained.

Verified reviewClean. Good location.
This place is sad and nothing like what I expected. WARNING: the rooms don’t actually have private bathrooms as advertised. The room we booked, listed as having a private bathroom, required us to go out past reception and down a hallway to use a bathroom that other people used. We could tell from the upturned toilet seat and the mess on the floor. Upon checkin, the owners told me they could not make change for my room payment. They promised they would give me change during my stay but never did. I left half a bottle of kefir in the fridge that someone drank before I woke up the next morning. When I went to use the back patio, there was a half naked man sleeping on the couch who seemed disturbed by my presence. In nearly 24 hours, he seemed to have not moved. As a result, I didn’t feel comfortable using the outdoor space.
Hello dear friends! Please, send me your account number and i transfer back you 1.4 gel (0.5$ ) from the price for room and send you money (1,8 gel) for half bottle of kefir also. 😉

Verified reviewThe property is in a peaceful hilly location, overlooking the river, where you can relax in the garden and listen to the sound of flowing water. It’s just around 5 - 10 mins Taxi/Yandex from the Kutaisi downtown area. The kitchen is offered for use by the owner to the guests, an extra point for me. There’s an in-house car for rent, where I availed a 2015 AWD SUV for a very reasonable rate.

Verified reviewPerfect place for stay in Kutaisi! Great location close to the center and one of the city's main attractions - Bagrati. Hosts were lovely and you can try and also buy their delicious homemade wines and czacza. They are always there to give you advice from recommending restaurants to plan your trip. We bought one trip with them and it was tailored for us - the starting hour and places we wanted to visit. Definitely recomending this host, especially if you want to feel the Georgian hospitality.
