How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewIt’s uphill off the main road so it’s generally quiet, if that’s what you like. That said, it’s a walk of under 10 minutes to the nearest metro station, and there are a bunch of food options and a small supermarket close by. Staff were generally cool and breakfast was a decent spread. The room was comfortable too.
Not something I didn’t like per se, but the first night I heard residents in the neighbouring property chatting away past midnight in their little courtyard below my window, but that’s something the hotel can’t control anyway. If you’re a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. Oh yes, the property is a little uphill but it’s not terribly steep. That said though, the road is cobbled and the pavements not always even, so you might want to reconsider the trolley bag unless you’re to willing to carry it. :)

Verified reviewNice breakfast, good location and considerate staff.
My initial room (top floor) had a lot of noise and some vibrations coming in from the airconditioning units outside. I had a difficult time falling asleep even with earplugs in. I mentioned my complaints to the staff and they provided me with a new room (and upgrade) the next day. I was very thankful for the service!

Verified reviewWi-fi was good, the air conditioner was powerful. Bed, table, stool are comfortable.
The room was provided 1 hour after check-in time. And I wasn't alone who get this delay. They don't have enough employees to prepare rooms in time. There're no shelf in bathroom, shower cubicle. I had to put my things on the lid of the garbage bin in the bathroom. The hairdryer is overheated and switched off very fast. The curtains were far from blackout.

Verified reviewThe weather was very good. The reception people was good especially the one that I woke up the last day to call for a cab for me and he was very nice.
The first day that I arrived, I got room #10, at 5th floor. There is not elevator and you have to take the step. But I entered and checked everywhere and noticed the toilet has poop spots. I immediately called front desk around 7 or 7:30. He said that I have to use the dirty toilet till the next morning cleaning lady cleans it. I saw I can not use dirty toilet. I called again and I asked for room change. Then he gave me room #2 that was one flight up. I checked and toilet was clean. I stayed in room #2 for 10 nights. The shower drain was not working well and I told them twice. They sent cleaning lady to open the drain but both times she failed and I did not tell them any more. I decided to turn on the shower very low water pressure to prevent water filling the shower area because of lack of the drain. Also, the pillows were very cheap kind (I think similar to $5 pillow from Walmart). My house pillow that I bought from bed&bath cost me $150 and it is very comfortable but these pillows were very uncomfortable and cheap. For breakfast, I did not like their cheese option. Those were mostly either salty or no taste. So, I bought my own bread and Greek cheese and cream and milk from the market. They only have 3 options for tea and they do not use coffee creamer. So, you need to buy your coffee creamer from America or your country. They did not have tour system that the Tour company picks you up at the hotel. You have to travel to the tour place (for me was 20 minutes of walk) and they drop you at an area not your hotel. The tour system is not up to date.

Verified reviewNice decorations, good breakfast
Beds aren't comfortable. Our number was on the top floor - all night the external parts of ACs produced much noise (from time to time). Another number we booked was just next to the reception: we even heard when the receptionist typed something on their phone.

Verified reviewI had to extend my stay in Tbilisi as I became sick while travelling alone. The staff were incredible - they arranged a room for me and made sure I was comfortable until I recovered from my illness. They could not have done more.
