How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

No refrigerator in the room, but the staff offered to store our food in their refrigerator, so it wasn't a problem.

Verified reviewEverything was wonderful! The breakfast was delicious, the room was clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed. The atmosphere in the hotel was very pleasant and relaxing. The staff, especially the girls at the front desk, were extremely friendly and helpful. We arrived early, and they kindly checked us in at 12 p.m. without any extra charge, which was a very nice gesture. The location of the hotel is excellent. The views are truly amazing — I think if you want to visit Kazbegi, it’s better to stay a little above the center rather than directly in it, because here you can enjoy spectacular views. This hotel is exactly that kind of place. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would be happy to come back again.

Verified reviewThis was my first visit to Kazbegi and i couldn't chosen a better place to stay. I had a truly wonderful experience at this hotel. I stayed in the Junior suite and everything was just perfect. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated and very clean. I especially loved the large and luxurious bathroom - it added so much comfort to my stay. Although the room didn't have a balcony it had an amazing mountain view through the window , which made my morning special. The breakfast was delicious with everything fresh and nicely presented, served in a calm and welcoming atmosphere. I absolutely recommend this hotel and i will definitely return in the future. Thank you for making my first time in Kazbegi so special!

Verified reviewResidence Kazbegi is a brand new property and is still working on the asethics and decor like in the hallways and in common areas. All rooms are front facing and each room has a balcony with a a fantastic view. The rooms are lovely, well-designed with amazingly comfortable beds and beautiful bedding. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful!
I think this hotel will get better and better as it becomes more established and finishes the little touches for its decor. I would recommend that they offer a few more Georgian specialties at their breakfast like some type of khatchapuri and meats and cheeses native to Georgia. The majority of tourists want Georgian food (Georgian breads, Georgian olives and Georgian cheeses) to eat at Breakfast. I also would suggest that they put higher wall dividers between the outside balconies to make them more private (maybe lattice dividers).

They welcomed us with a beautiful birthday cake and a flower bouquet for my wife, which made the moment truly special. There’s no air conditioning in the room, but honestly, you don’t need it at all—the weather in Kazbegi is naturally cool and refreshing. Verified reviewWe enjoyed staying at this property due to a number of reasons: - great location and nice view - new property, everything is done nicely - very welcoming owner (we think this man on reception was an owner, but maybe not) - great person who made sure our staying was great - amazing bathroom! The only thing is that the road to the hotel is not made yet, but the hotel is new, I believe this will be fixed soon. Everything else is great!

Verified reviewHighly recommended. The hotel has an exceptional view; practically, you can see the whole of Kazbegi and, of course, the gorgeous mountains from the balcony. Rooms are well-equipped, comfortable, and cozy. Everything is new and spotlessly clean. The biggest bonus is the staff, they were very welcoming and attentive. We received exquisite service. As soon as they knew it was our wedding anniversary, they upgraded our room as a gift. Definitely going back sometime soon.
