Leila’s guesthouse was SO good!! it’s right in the heart of Joqolo, the main village in Pankisi. we wanted somewhere to chill after a hard trek and it was perfect— Leila and Mariam are super sweet hosts, they made amazing food and were super helpful in organizing little tours and excursions around Pankisi

Starting from when I entered the place Leyla deyda was there to give me a warm greeting. She arranged my tour guide her daughter was there to translate whenever I needed her. They arranged me a perfect meal consisting of traditional Kist food. I will never regret the meal as it was the best I have ever tasted. The garden outside was colourful and stunning and the guest house where there was a comfy sofa and a small library where you can read books. Wifi was really good. I spoke to the host for over an hour she shared her story of how she opened this place and stories such as the chechen war. She then took me for a short drive to duisi where i bought local produced helva [ chechen sweets] and some other locally produced pastries. Her kitchen was incredible the lay out and the way it was decorated caught my eye. The house overall is decorated in a unique way which can sometimes hypnotise you! She helped me to catch a local bus back to tbilsi in the morning. The local bus was at 6.15 am. The main thing is she woke up early when it was cold,made me breakfast and refused to take any payment. This is the place where you'll get the motherly and family love. in most hostels they treat you as another customer here they treat you like family. absolutely amazing!

Amazing Hospitality and food. Leila provided breakfast and dinner at additional cost (35 GEL for dinner, 25 GEL for Breakfast), and these were the best meals we had in Georgia - where the food was overall outstanding.

I was there in October which seemed to be a bit low season. There were not any activities in the villages, and there might happen more during the summer. But that has nothing to do with the stay at Leyla’s itself. In October, the rooms and bathrooms also get a bit cold, so pack extra clothes.

The guesthouse has beautiful rooms and a wonderful garden. Leyla is so sweet and helpful, and she is an amazing host and cook. Everything I had for dinner and breakfast was delicious (different kinds of bread, fried eggs, crepes with raspberry jam, soup, and other tradition dishes). You can really taste that she makes everything herself and how skilled she is. There is enough food for everybody to be (more than) full after every meal. Alone the food is worth coming for, and it is a wonderful place and village to stay in.

The stay at Leila's was absolutely exceptional. Leila and her family are very friendly, hospitable and welcoming. The room was clean and nice, there were exactly what we needed. We had a really good breakfast and dinner, which Leila made. The food was local, very tasty and fresh. The garden and the terrace are an oasis. When we come back to Jokolo, we will stay with Leila again. A highly recommended place. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

We had an amazing time at Leila’s Guest House. It was everything we hoped for. The house is beautifully decorated, well kept and quite spacious. There is also a garden where they grow their own vegetables. We got to try some of them and we can say for sure that we have never had anything better. The hosts are lovely and charming. We got to learn a lot from Leila and her daughter. She fed us great natural food, took care of us but the thing that really made her unique was that she did everything from heart and she was genuinely happy to take us in and care for us. We made some good friends there as well and overall just a great experience. Leila also helped us in arranging local activities. Highly recommend to everyone for a special experience in Georgia.

Some of the room pricings were a little idiosyncratic.

Leila was an excellent host, friendly, happy to chat about all aspects of Pankisi, the Kists, etc. Evening meal and breakfast were both excellent. It was a lovely peaceful spot with a beautiful garden and nice views of the surrounding country.

Without AC or a fan it is quite warm to sleep when temperatures are >30C.

Friendly hosts and the khinkhali for dinner are very good. The guesthouse is very cute with a large garden and ample sitting space to read and relax
