How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewA beautiful home stay in Jokolo in the Pankisi Valley, and an opportunity to learn about the Kist culture. The facilities are spotlessly clean, and beds very confortable. Guests enjoy local home made cuisine together, food is delicious and abundant. The garden is lovely for relaxing and Nazy is an ideal host, and can organise local activities.

Verified reviewAs a solo female traveller I wanted to go somewhere that is safe. And this area feels very safe. It's a small rural community of friendly people, many of whom speak English and/or German (probably Russian too). People are very willing to offer tourists rides in their car and reluctant to accept any payment for it. I felt fine hitchhiking. You can also borrow a good quality mountain bike from Nazy for a reasonable price. The starting point for hiking trails in the mountains is six kilometres away. My first experience horse riding and mountain biking was during my stay. I strongly recommend going for a horse riding tour either to view cultural sites or to go into the mountains. The path from Joqolo to Khodori is suitable for cycling with a gentle ascent. It runs along the gorge with stunning views. At first glance the guest house seems a little pricier than other places in Georgia, but when you get there, you see that it is not expensive for what it is. The facilities are modern and very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The front garden and back garden are both beautiful and offer many quiet places to just sit and read or drink tea (which is always available) or even to do some yoga on a sheltered platform. Meals are wonderful, plentiful, and communal. Really healthy with lots of vegetables and no excess oil or salt. You are unlikely to need to eat much between breakfast and dinner. However, you can buy some snacks and fruit from a couple of small shops a 5-minute walk away. I recommend that you reach out to Nazy to arrange transportation to and from the guest house. The price she quoted me for a taxi from Tbilisi was significantly less than all the major travel platforms in Georgia (Bolt, Yandex Go, and GoTrip). And she can also inform you if there are other guests coming from the same place on the same day who you could share with. You can find up-to-date information about catching the bus from Tbilisi on the travel blog Relentless Roaming.

Verified reviewI had an amazing moment at Nazi's guest house. Nazi and her sister are lovely. They helped to organise cultural tours and gave some good recommendations and advices. The place is lovely, very peaceful and we want to stay there for so long! The food was also very generous and amazing. I definitely recommend, it worth's visiting Pankisi Valley and this guest house that helps us to appreciate even more this, still unknown, region.

Verified reviewNazy’s place is one of the most restful spots I’ve ever stayed at. I got the private double room with shared bathrooms and loved it. The room is spotlessly clean, with a very comfy bed, and was lovely and cool at night in late June. The shared bathrooms are also new and kept spotless, and there were enough of them that we never had to wait to use them. The grounds are so beautiful. So green and breezy, and I could have stayed and read books there forever. There is tea, coffee and cold water on the table throughout the day. The breakfast and dinner were both fantastic and great value. So much food and so delicious. And a great time to meet other guests. Everyone I met was the best kind of tourists! Nazy is a lovely person to talk to, and can organize anything you need, from horse rides and tours to onward transport. Would definitely recommend the horse trekking. Absolutely stunning scenery on the full day trek. It’s worth noting that on the full day trek you’ll be in a fair amount of pain for the last couple of hours if your body isn’t used to horse riding! For me the last few hours were quite a challenge mentally, but my word, it was well worth it for the experience. Just stunningly beautiful at the top of the mountains, and seeing it from the top of a horse was magical. There is also a half day trek which might be the smarter choice for a lot of people, but I don’t know how the views compare with what we saw. Nazy can help you decide which is the better option. I hope I’ll remember Nazy and her guesthouse for a long long time. It felt immensely peaceful, welcoming, and safe at all times. A really special time indeed.

Verified reviewEverything. Nazy's guest house was a Haven. A slice of Paradise on Earth. Such a privilege to learn about kist culture. The community was so welcoming. It was a pleasure to enjoy the natural beauty of the Pankisi valley. Nazy also went out of the way to arrange tours and horseback rising as well as a taxi back to the airport. She took care of all our needs and provided breakfast and dinner that was delicious.
Everything was perfect and divine.

Verified reviewStunning property - a true oasis of calm and tranquility with lots of lovely places to get lost with a book or your thoughts. Delicious breakfasts and dinners and Nazy is so helpful with organising experiences and sharing information about the valley. Easily my favourite guesthouse in Georgia.
Nothing.

Verified reviewMuch praise has been rightfully heaped upon Nazy. It is all true, I can confirm. Because I'm overwhelmed by so many positive impressions she leaves, I tend to repeat the many comments which already have been made, but there's no point. So I'll limit myself to the essentials: she is an exceptional host providing an extraordinary accommodation (which came as a surprise to someone normally avoiding dorms and shared bathrooms). The food she offers is not the usual Georgian staple but food in the Kist tradition, very delicious, fresh (and abundant). But more than anything she is an energetic organizer and persuasive ambassador for her people. I loved being with her and listening to what she had to say. And I fear that nothing as beautiful can follow in the remaining weeks of my stay in Georgia.
There was nothing I disliked.

Verified reviewI can only say what I loved- Nazy's exceptional boutique hotel is an experience I will cherish for the rest of my life. The Pankisi Valley is a beautiful, tranquil place to be, and to stay here in the most peaceful garden setting with style and comfort gave me a sense of calm that is rare in most of the world. The food is delicious and hyper-local. Spotlessly clean Supremely comfortable beds and furnishings. Nazy is so generous with her time and curation of our stay here, and with telling her amazing inspirational story, and knowledge of the history and culture of the Kist community.
I truly have thought hard about this, because Nazy was very keen to know if anything needed improvement. There was absolutely nothing which detracted from our stay. I only wish I had some command of the local language, because all of the family who looked after us were very engaging, but I could only express myself in the most basic terms. Nazy herself is flawless in English

Verified reviewAll the good things you have heard about Nazy's Guest House are 100% true. This is an amazing guest house, and probably my favorite accommodation I've had in Georgia. The house itself is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The garden is beautiful, and there are so many comfy places to sit and relax. For my two days in Pankisi, Nazy arranged a horse tour and a cultural tour for me. Both were absolutely fabulous. Keep in mind to bring more cash than you think you need, as breakfast and dinner are extra charge (20 GEL for breakfast, 30 GEL for dinner). All of the food I had was so delicious and definitely worth the price. If you want a quiet getaway to enjoy nature and learn about Kist culture, go to Pankisi!
