How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewGreat location with excellent views of the mountains and the town of Lentekhi. Close to the city, only 300 m to the center. Small cottage with two balconies. Well equipped with a refrigerator, dishes, and everything you need for a vacation. Very nice host Nino who spoiled us with coffee, melon and homemade cake. She is the heart of the house, has beautifully landscaped the garden and planted flowers everywhere.
Everything was excellent! I was surprised that this gem only received an 8-point rating, so I studied the reviews. The last one by Vlad gave it only 1 point, thus lowering the rating. The reason given was the lack of air conditioning, but there is a fan. When asked, the host explained that there were problems with these guests. Due to the risk of forest fires, they were not allowed to light fires in the house (but they were allowed to do so in the yard), and they were therefore dissatisfied and even stole some of the furnishings, such as the guest book. :(

Verified reviewThe house is new and beautifully decorated and very clean with nice atmosphere. Amazing garden and view. Most important the owners Nino and her husband are wonderfull people, very warm and welcoming and helped us with everything. they speak both English and Russian and it was very nice talking with them.

Verified reviewThe most cozy and comfy cabin I ever stayed. My husband and I had a wonderful warm night here. The facilities in the cabin was awesome and well equipped. The owner helped to keep us warm by teaching us to use the heater. The service was amazing, even we had the language barrier but it was not a problem at all. The location is on the top of the hill, you will see the city view.
I love everything here, will definitely be back if we have a chance.

Verified reviewVery warm guests, with the location perfectly located at the beginning of svaneti mountains. Great view to start the day and to move further to ushguli.
There was no restaurant open in the town, but the spar supermarket was. We could as such cook in the kitchen of the guest house which had all we needed

Verified reviewView was great, but to cold to look outside. breakfest was peasant simple. Boiled eggs, kupdari ( swan hachapuri with bread), salt chees, two salats: one with beats and second was crab salat. tea or coffe, candys, mandarins, apples. Local red wine day before for the dinner, which we prepare by ourself)
It quaite expensive for value of quality in campare with Georgian prices. 50 lari per person. Also it was really cold even inside maybe +15.. Outside was -2 C. We ordered a cottege, which was pretty and very comfortable, but in the winter water was frozen, so we have to sleep in owners house. Where also shower was only in the first floar, where living a owners. it was only one owen in the middle room, but you have to be all the time throw up firewood, but in the middle of the night the firewood was over, so morning we woke up frozen. Owners gave us a duble blunkets and electric heater in sleeping room was working all the night, but it was not enaugh. So, accomodation do not appropriate for winter conditions.

Then I am sorry about winter 🙂really in our region, exactly in Svaneti,Lentekhi winter is very harsh, snowy. At the very moment you booked the guest house not cabin I let you know and sent you photos that water was frozen . So you had a chance cancel the order. In any case rooms was warms thans for farelplace and electric heater . Hope for the next time you will be more prepared for mountain region and for winter time. Staying safe and healthy.
