How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewVery nice and kind owner. Good parking and spacious rooms with a shared kitchen. The food and wine are excellent – we recommend it. The only thing we would suggest improving is the mattresses, as they are a bit rough and dated. Overall, a great stay and excellent value for the price you pay.

Verified reviewClean place, wonderful hosts. They prepare amazing food for a very reasonable price. They have a private parking spot. Gela does not speak English, but he is a wonderful host.
If you arrive by car, the road is bumpy, but doable in a normal car.

Room is a little bit dated, but the bed and the shower were really good so it’s not even a downside.

Verified reviewThe property is clean, comfortable and has authentic atmosphere. Its location is not far from the center of Signakhi town. Gela, the guest house owner is kind and hospitable person. He told us a lot about Kahetia and life of the local people. His wife cooked for us very tasty Georgian breakfast. Also he makes good home made wine.

Verified reviewI liked absolutely everything about the guest house. We lived in a 3-bed room with a balcony. The room is large, cozy and clean with a magnificent view of the mountains. The guesthouse is located in a quiet location, a 5-minute walk from the city center. I really liked the breakfasts. I highly recommend ordering dinner. It consists of delicious dishes of Georgian cuisine and wine, which the owner produces himself from natural grapes without chemical additives. The owner is very sociable and always ready to help. He can arrange a tour to the winery. This is a dog-friendly guesthouse. We lived with a big dog.

Verified reviewBreakfast is ok worth the price, room is big and super clean. Owners looks very nice and pleasant. The house located in a quiet area which means it's not close to the center. The owner drove us to the bus station when we leave and help to call and save the place. The toilet paper is of high quality. Only two rooms so it's likely you can have the house all to yourself.
Location is super awful unless you drive directly here. We came here by bus and it's very far, although it's only 15 mins walk, all the going up and down the hills seems unbearable and if you come by a suitcase, don't come! The wheel of my luggage broke because of this long rock road. First thing we got here the owner suggested us a trip to the winerey and I asked if the price included everything and that we wouldn't have to pay extra when we get to the destination and he said yes. And it turns out that he first took us to the museum which I didn't know it was a museum we thought it's the winerey coz he didn't tell us there will be a stop at museum. The worst thing is the woman there took us finished the tour and then said we have to pay for it. If we knew this all along we wouldn't want to see it at all! And after this he told me we are now going to the winerey and of course there's extra fees when we get there. Ok after this whole day I went for the shower and it's so ridiculous I was so mad that I even laugh, the shower is like a storm! Literally a storm! I had never see a shower like that, the water pressure is way too strong when I turn on the water there's a strong wind blowing all around the bathroom, oh my God and it's freaking cold! The temperature of the water is just warm and after a while it gets cold AND with the storm! I even couldn't finish the shower because it's cold and the water was too strong it hurts my skin, It's like niddle. And there's no hair dryer. So the rest of us didn't get to shower. We later found out the heater is only set for around 30 degree, no wonder it's so cold. So we turned it up, but the owner came afterwards and talked to us we can't turn it up coz the tube would melt. What?? OK, then don't expect you can take a shower if you book this guesthouse. Again becoz the water pressure is so high when you flush the toilet it makes a huge noise.

Verified reviewThe location is quite far from the centre (important up hill) but this is why its a quiet area. The room was clean.
Comminication is difficult given that they do not sepeak english. Kitchen was dirty so we could not use it when we arrived. Breakfast was poor and we felt like it was leftovers from their dinner. We had not got toilet paper but we asked them and they came inmediately.

Verified reviewThe hosts Gela and Silvia were incredible. They were genuinely caring for their guests and provided a truly authentic stay and a glimpse into Georgian hospitality. Silvia’s cooking skills are second to none and shouldn’t be missed. She makes the BEST Kinkhali and most of her dishes have ingredients from their own garden. Delicious!!
