How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe location is just amazing, the staff were also very kind and accommodating. We opted for the breakfast, which was sumptious and delicious.
The beds creak a lot and given we were travelling with a baby, the sound woke him up quite often

Verified reviewGreat location, very kind staff, the bed is super comfortable! The terrace has a lovely view and is relaxing.
Sometimes after using the toilet, the bathroom would smell like sewage for hours afterwards. I just kept the door closed when I wasn’t using it, and the smell didn’t bother me that way!

Verified reviewLovely quiet place (could be because of winter season) with nice hosts. My room was with a big window and the view was absolutely breathtaking.
Basically nothing. I had to call for host's support to get wifi info.

Verified reviewGreat place to stay for a night, and a great view from the terrace. hosts are very nice and ready to help.
room facilities are not really comfortable. although the sheets and towels are clean and available, other things like hairdryer or toothbrush cup etc are not provided. also no coffee or at least dispensable cups are not provided and shops and pharmacies are a bit far from the hostel to go midnight or early in the morning.

Verified reviewSimple, but comfortable room. Very kind owners, easy check-in. Great breakfast on the terrace with a beautiful view. We were really happy to have found this place. Centrally located (although G**maps gives you a complicated route - it's really just behind the City Hall).

Verified reviewIt is a great location. The facilities were clean
There was nobody to greet us on arrival. We were travelling with a toddler so we were really tired. We had to make numerous calls to locate the host. I generally don't like giving bad reviews, especially to small businesses. However, I have stayed in different hotels and guesthouses in signagi for the past 5 years, and this was by far the worst in terms of hospitality.

Verified review- The staff was very kind, allowing us to use their refrigerator since the rooms weren't equipped with one. - The balcony offered stunning views. - I left some personal items in the room, and they went out of their way to ensure they were sent after me to Tbilisi on the next marshrutka.

Verified reviewA nice hotel, with beautiful view and welcoming hosts. The rooms is comfy though the window looks straight at the street and can a be little loud. But the louder part was the AC's sound located right at our window outside. The bed was comfortable. They have huge veranda with beautiful view which is supposed to be public but it was all occupied by the guest from the room whose window looks straight to this veranda. We couldn't even spend a nice evening there as that guest was unhappy we are in a public veranda.
The internet was very slow, the cabinets in the room had some leftovers from the previous guests. The water pressure in the shower was horrible, it was hard to maintain the same temperature and was very uncomfortable, though the shower is so big which is great.

Verified reviewJust two rooms in the hosts house, upstairs separate from where they live downstairs. Quiet. Lovely patio to have breakfast or wine with a nice view. Close to town and very walkable to things. Hosts made us breakfast every morning with a little variety and it was nice.
Bed and pillows were uncomfortable.

Verified reviewThe Guest house is in a walking distance to downtown Sighnaghi. I believe they have three rooms with private bathrooms that are on the street level, while the breakfast area is one floor below. There is a fairly large patio in front of the two rooms facing the distance that offers an excellent view, since there are no other buildings to disturb the sight. Since the owners put a large table on the patio, it is the best place for hanging out and for a glass of wine. The owner called up the marshrutka to pick us up in the morning on our way to Telavi, so we did not even have to walk to the bus stop area.
Nothing really.

Verified reviewQuiet but centrally located room, with a personal balcony with an amazing view. Airco, shower, lovely Georgian breakfast. Your host wants to help you all the time. They arranged us a wine tour, with himself as a taxi. Plus we arrived late, so they arranged us a pickup for free to a befriended restaurant nearby, with a retour. Service 10/10. Their English isn't perfect, so be sure there won't be any miscommunication about this price! The price is the time he is your taxi (all afternoon), not the entrance fee of the wine tour. But best of all... He helped is with our dead car battery. Called several friends of him, to try and reanimate our 4x4 car battery. Special thanks to this!
Their English is improving, but be sure not to make any miscommunication :)
