It was great staying there. David has been an amazing host in my entire stay. We played basketball as well it was a great experience.

Mosquitos are there due to the greenery so better keep the windows shut.

We liked very much service provided by David. He was always available to do transfers to Mestia what was a nice surprise for us. He is knowledgeable hiker so he can advise you on the routes around the guesthouse. Views of Ushba from the fields and meadows near the guesthouse are breathtaking.

Everything was great. The food was delicious and the family that owns the house was super nice and kind. We had a wonderful stay:)

Such an incredible location and view from the room. Amazing dinners that you can order as well. It doesn’t get any better than going to sleep and waking up looking up at the sky

The hotel is in a very quiet and beautiful location. The hosts are very welcoming and friendly. They could answer any question you have about Svaneti, what to see and how to get there. The room was comfortable and had a great view atop of the stars at night.

During our two-week trip to Georgia, our stay in Mestia at Davit's home became one of the most unforgettable highlights. We were completely charmed by the room with the glass ceiling that opened up to the sky, and although the house was a bit outside the main town of Mestia, we decided to stay there — and it turned out to be one of the best decisions we made. It made our Mestia experience feel like a dream. We stayed in that room for two nights and were absolutely happy there, whether the weather was clear or rainy. On rainy days, when hiking wasn't an option, we slept in and enjoyed the peaceful view from our bed. On clear nights, we were lucky enough to lie in bed and count countless stars until we fell asleep. The bed was comfortable, and a small heater kept us warm through the cold mountain nights. As an eco-friendly home, we did occasionally spot small insects like ants, but it never felt uncomfortable — the bathroom was also spotless and clean. Before coming to Mestia, we had mostly stayed in hotels, so we hadn’t had many chances to interact with local Georgians. Staying at Davit’s home gave us a much more intimate and meaningful experience. His family was incredibly kind and welcoming — it truly felt like being at home. We were so grateful to have been a small part of a household spanning four generations, even just for a little while. It was a heartwarming and joyful time. I know that whenever I find myself overwhelmed by the busyness of daily life, I will think back to Davit’s home and the peaceful days we spent there. A stay at Davit's place is not just accommodation — it’s an experience of Georgia itself, a beautiful bridge between people and culture. Travelers who value local traditions and approach others with warmth and respect will undoubtedly love it here. A true family guesthouse experience, the food is so delicious!

Great people beautiful place

Great place, friendly family. Authentic Svan farming experience. Stunning view and charming village. Great hiking possibilities. Easy access to Mestia down town with help from host. Great options to buy healthy food from hosts - remember to say if you want wine, and if you prefer milk and yoghurt cold. Hosts will help with everything like trecking maps etc. If you wish you can take the dogs for a walk too, we brought them on our hikes and they were great company. If we ever return to Mestia we are definitely coming back, this was the best booking i have made here so far.

The hosts and property are all wonderful. The Ecohouse is run by some really great people, and everybody was so helpful: helped arrange a tour to some local areas and helped me get my marshrutka back to Kutaisi. The home cooking was some of the best I had in Georgia. There are plenty of starting points for hikes right at the Ecohouse, and if you’re lucky, maybe one of the Ecohouse’s very well-behaved dogs will join you for a hike. I have only positive things to say.

The accommodation is in a family home, everything is authentic. We stayed in the attic room with the glass ceiling and terrace, a unique experience. Fresh linen, cleanliness and private bathroom will ensure all the comfort. The hosts are very welcoming and warm, they help you with everything you need. Breakfast and dinner were very good, with products from their own home. From the terrace you can enjoy a breathtaking view, everything green and in the distance the snowy mountains, it was the most beautiful accommodation in Georgia. We communicated very well with Davit, he gave us information about the condition of the roads and about the mountains and trails. Congratulations on what you managed there with your wonderful family! Thank you for everything! Ahh, and I almost forgot, thank you for the very good house wine!

Had the best time in our Georgia trip at Eco House Svaneti. The views were spectacular and the host David and his family were so warm and welcoming! It didn't feel like we were staying at a guesthouse. I loved playing with the adorable little ones (David's daughters) and the pet ducks and fur babies Toby and Bobby. David and his dad Leo picked us up and dropped us to the bus point and even gave us a ride till Mestia city center. Extremely thoughtful and generous! It's rare to come across such kindness in this day and age. And oh boy! The accommodation was crazy beautiful. We took a private room the first night and upgraded the next day to a beautiful cottage in the middle of the garden- where we woke up to breathtaking mountain views. The breakfast and dinner were extremely delicious! I am gonna come back here again!

Such a nice place! David and his family are so kind, hospitable and open. We didn’t rent a car and David‘s dad drove us to the hotel and back💔 He told us lots of interesting stories about his hiking experience and treated to wine, coffee and sweets. David‘s mom organized comfortable space for us to feel warm and cozy. I knew that that locals are amazing but they exceeded my expectations! I would love to stay here in summer to visit many other local spots, go hiking and enjoy local food. Thank you so much for taking care of us and for your kindness! ❤️🇺🇦

This place is amazing, the room is comfortable and nice. The view is breathtaking and the hosts are very nice and kind people. They helped us a lot and the wife cooked amazing meals for us. Thank you, I hope to come back in the summer!

Ecohouse Svaneti is a magical place. David and his family are excellent hosts and the location is in a small village south of Mestia. David's directions to their home were extremely helpful. We were amazed by the view from our room with large windows on 2 sides, a skylight and a large private terrace, Mountains surround the property. Facilities were clean and comfortable. The WIFI worked well. Parking was inside the gate of the property. We arranged for 2 breakfasts/2 dinners and were not disappointed. We chose not to drive our car to Ushguli and David arranged with his neighbor to drive us there in his car; do not miss this special experience. Thank you, David and family!

We stayed at this mountain cabin and had mixed feelings overall. However, the hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to help and make us feel at home. In the end, this place might work for those on a budget who don’t mind basic accommodations, but a bit more comfort would make a big difference.

The cabin is quite dated, with old equipment and furniture that could really use an upgrade. The beds weren’t very comfortable, so we didn’t sleep too well.
