The view and surroundings.

Strangely unavailable staff. Asked for early check in because was unwell. Arrived at 9 but nobody around despite saying reception opens 0830. Came back at 1145 to ask for early check-in and then had to wait an hour only to be asked to pay for early check-in (check in at 2).

The view from our room and especially the breakfast room. The decorations on the walls were pleasant and unique.

We know it was the budget twin room, but still, we were missing a few key things. The room only had a very tiny table to put a few items on, and there was just one night lamp, probably dating back to the Soviet era. It had no switch—you had to pull the plug out of the wall to turn it on or off. In the bathroom, there was no toothbrush cup. At the entrance of the room, on the wall, there were about 10 exposed water pipes, most likely connected to the supply for other rooms, all in plain sight without any cover. Also, there was no ramp or transition between the room floor and the higher bathroom floor, so you always risked hitting your toes and stumbling at night.

Thin walls between rooms.

Breakfast was short. Bedroom had no tv and some light bulbs didnt work.

This is one of my best stays in Georgia. Wonderful Kazbegi 🇬🇪 Hotel Chemodann with excellent service , delicious foods (breakfast), lovely atmosphere with friendly staff ❤️ It was amazing, everything is done in the traditional Georgian style 🇬🇪❤️ Great, breathtaking views of the mountains and Gergeti trinity Church 😍 I have no words to express my impression. My deepest respect to the hosts, Mrs.Sophie and her family 🥰 Definitely recommend and come back again 🍷❤️

Good breakfast, nice location and amazing view on the mountains from the yard. Friendly staff. I enjoyed my staying in this hotel and visiting all surroundings.

It would be nice to add a shelf for dental supplies and toiletries near the sink, there wasn't enough space in my room.

I had an amazing stay at this beautiful hotel. The space was spotless, stylishly decorated, and filled with natural light. Every detail was thoughtfully designed, from the cozy furniture to the modern kitchen and spacious bathroom. The view from the balcony was breathtaking — perfect for morning coffee or evening relaxation. The location was ideal, close to restaurants, shops, and public transport. It felt like a true home away from home. The host was incredibly welcoming and responsive, making check-in and communication smooth throughout the stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, style, and convenience. Would definitely love to return!

The host was extremely rude to me when I asked her about basic things I expect to have in a hotel room. I wish I can attach WhatsApp conversations that will make anyone question booking here a million time before doing so

absolutely stunning views from the room. Breakfast was great too and this was one of my favorite stays on my trip in Georgia.

Convenient location, good breakfast but erratic service

We asked fairly in advance the breakfast serving time as we wanted to go hiking and take advantage of the best hours of the day. They replied us that breakfast would have been served from 8 am, however once doing the check in they postponed it at 8.30 so we asked to have it served earlier. They politely assented but actually the breakfast wasn’t ready even after 8.30 am, with the staff rushing, adding confusedly food to the buffet, forgetting about necessary things like cutlery or clean glasses. The first day we didn’t even have the chance to ask for missing things as the staff at breakfast didn’t speak any word of English. We knew that was supposed to be a family business but an hotel - as you define yourself - should respect some basic standards.

We had a lovely stay, the room was beautiful with high ceilings, the bathroom and especially the shower was great, something we’ve been lacking in other accommodations. The view from the room was out of this world. The host was kind and helpful and spoke great English.

The hotel is situated quite high up in the town so on a warm day it can be a bit sweaty but it’s all worth it for the view. In the end this is what you’re paying for.
