How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewCozy experience staying at this beautiful chateau. The atmosphere is truly charming, combining historic elegance with modern comforts. The rooms were spacious, beautifully decorated, and spotlessly clean.
There were ants in the room, likely due to the extreme heat during our stay. While I understand that such issues can happen in warm climates, it was still uncomfortable.

Verified reviewThe staff were so friendly and helpful, great food especially the outstanding breakfast, and stunning place.
The room could have a few more things like a hairdryer and kettle, but these were happily provided on request.
Thank you very much for your kind words, we look forward to seeing you again.

Verified reviewWe had here a good 2 nights stay. The place is beautiful, radiates style and prestige. Lot of art works in the huge dining hall. Dinners coocked by the hosts were very tasty, and breakfast was tasty and generous. The hosts were friendly and helped us with carrying the luggage up the stairs. The view on the snow cupped mountains is breath taking. They have a pool and a a beautiful garden, which one can enjoy if visiting in summer. This was irrelevant for us visiting in mid November.
A lot was invested in the appearance of the place, like iron bed and shining parquet floor, but not much in the guests comfort. There was no chair in the room, no kettle, no cupboard. The bathroom is narrow, shower water was only low warm and water pressure was weak. The first night the room was freezing cold. It took two hours to warm with the radiator and the air condition.

Verified reviewView on the mountains, nice garden, good breakfast, clean, the ladies were friendly and helpful.
Based on the good reviews i booked this hotel for 2 nights but out of 6 accommodations in Georgia this was the one we liked least. Very small, unpractical rooms, no cupboards, small windows. As they produce wine, we were expecting to get some more info on their wine production and wines but the man (owner) was not communicative at all and gave us the feeling we were not welcome and just a nuisance. So maybe our expectations were wrong. Luckily in the nearby town of Kisiskhevi (15 minutes walk) we found several places were they explained all about Georgian wine making and we could do wine tasting.

Verified reviewClean room. Nice setting with swimming pool, vineyard, castle-like buildings. Nice breakfast outside on the veranda. Nice location for a relaxing vacation but you need a car to visit towns and sights.
Very small rooms. No space to unpack suitcases. No chairs or cabinets. No coffee or tea in the room. No extra bottled water in the room.

Verified reviewSet amidst the rolling vineyards of Telavi , Chateau Tetri Bairagebi White Flags is designed in the traditional stone & brick castle style. We stayed in the spacious Privilege room - it had a 2 seater plush sofa , centre table , peg tables & a cabinet with drawers. The small ensuite bathroom is bidet fitted & has limited space for placing toiletries. The USP of white flags is the warm hospitality of the family who owes & runs it - Nino & Yanna tend to your needs like smiling genies. This boutique hotel has a small pool, a garden with few rows of grape shrubs laid out like a vineyard & ample walking space. The meals are really yummy & wholesome. We were looked after like royalty - we wanted to visit Telavi ( about 10 kms ahead ) + Tsinandali estate ( about 6 kms towards the opposite direction) & since cabs are not easily available, the owner Giorgi took us in his private car for a very reasonable amount. We feel that staying at white flags is a great Opportunity to meet & interact with Georgian families. Since this place is located at an isolated rural area, evenings were well spent in swapping stories & much laughter over wines from their private Mirani. We would recommend White Flags as a great overnight stopover on way to Kazbegi from Tbilisi; it’s a totally different experience from busy Tbilisi- we spent two nights there & just loved it. For day travellers visiting Telavi, you can call ahead at White Flags & enjoy a relaxed swim & great meals in a true blue vineyard atmosphere.
The bathroom needs shelves for putting toiletries & pegs for hanging large towels . A safe for valuables would be nice.
Thank you very much for your kind words, we look forward to seeing you with pleasure, a huge hello to you from our family.

Verified reviewWonderful place. Amazingly friendly and caring hosts. A very beautiful chateau. The hosts treated us as if we were their best friends. We were left with the feeling that we had stayed in one of the best places of all our travels. In the evening we ordered dinner, everything was amazingly tasty and at a reasonable price. Breakfast was included in the total price and was also wonderfully served and very tasty. We definitely recommend this place!!!
The rooms are very comfortable, but the furnishings and decoration are somewhat minimal.
Thank you for your kind words, we wish we had more such guests, we are waiting for you ❤️

Verified reviewIt was everything we longed for after a long trip. We needed some comfort and this was exactly what we got. The pool, sauna and beautiful surroundings added up to the experience. The hosts were warm and welcoming.
Very little detail: the light in the room and restaurant was a bit too bright white
