Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomOur first room was too small for us (2 adults and a teenager), but as I said, I should have opted for 2 rooms rather than one. Although the communal kitchen was well equipped, we would have preferred a kitchen to ourselves. There was only one little hiccup where our room was double booked, but Sharon quickly found us a room, which I said was more preferable to the first. Lastly, Reef View Pavilions is a quite, tranquil spot but the view is spoilt by all of the vegetation. Please consider cutting back some the trees/vegetation so visitors can appreciate the style of the hotel as well as to allow for a better view of the sea and more light into the bottom pool.
Sharon and her family were absolutely wonderful. Very attentive and went above and beyond to accommodate to our needs. Sharon also provided a e-brochure which was very useful, especially the recommended restaurants. The small upper pool was quiet, nice and clean, so it felt like our own personal pool. Our second room was more to our liking than the first, but that was more down to our choice at booking than anything, as we were trying to keep costs down as we were travelling for 3 weeks in 3 separate accommodations.

United KingdomDifficult to find at night especially without google maps, but in daylight if was easy.
Great place to stay, very bohemian/funky & fantastic quiet & private with restaurants nearby. - walkable but hilly. Would recommend a car as away from shops. We had a private pool & villa which was wonderful with kitchen. Sharon was very helpful & welcoming. Lance aux Épines is a delightful area, much quieter than Grand Anse.

United KingdomSome railings, especially on the roof terrace need repairing for safety. One of the chairs by the pool is broken. Being bitten by mosquitoes! As a grandmother of an 11 month old crawling tiny tot I personally would be worried about the different levels and access by spiral staircase.
Tradewind Pavilions was an amazing oasis over three levels with spectacular views especially from the roof terrace. Sharon was a very welcoming and helpful host. We appreciated housekeeping every two days. The villa was comfortable and spacious, the kitchen was well equipped, and the pool was lovely and clean. Having stayed in the area three years ago we just wanted to enjoy some ‘downtime’. We didn't need a car as we were happy to walk the short distance to Secret Harbour Marina, Prickly Bay Marina and to the beach restaurants on Lance Aux Epines Beach. Tradewind villa is located at the top of a hill so if you don't like hills, hire a car or use a taxi. Sharon has a list with two taxi nos. We used Roger to take us to Grand Anse Bay for the day and to the airport. On both occasions it was 50EC.

CanadaIt was a bit hard to find but is a walkable at night to a handful of restaurants and grocery store. The pool was an amazing refuge from the sun. Great place to bring large groups - the building is so colorful, nice and clean and Sharon has a good compilation of all the things to do in the area.

CanadaThe location is very secluded from the rest of the island. You definitely need a car, if you're looking to explore other parts of the island (recommended). Otherwise, you'll be spending quite a bit of money on taxis. Walking is not an option, unless you're only interested in staying around Lance aux Epines, and/or you're in relatively good shape. The terrain is not an "easy walk" by any means. It's very rocky/hilly. A great workout nonetheless! I had some shower/drainage issues in my room. Sharon was prompt in responding and attempting to have it resolved, however it still took a few days to be fixed (water still wasn't draining 100%). If you're looking for easy access to food and drink, there is no restaurant/bar on-site.
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Grenada - such a beautiful country! The grounds at Reef View are stunning! Feels like you're in the middle of a rainforest. The host Sharon is amazing! She and her family live on-site, which is convenient. She is super friendly, personable, hospitable, and very prompt in responding to any issues/concerns. Check-in and check-out went very smoothly. The villas are very different from your typical hotel room (in a good way - very unique, eclectic). I had a comfortable stay, and felt very safe!

CanadaThe only thing I had a hard time with was the loud ac unit. BUT, had I mentioned it right away, am 100% confident they would have fixed it. And the one on my kids bedroom was perfect. I will go back.
Sharon, the owner is amazing. The place is super chill, with 2 pools and really pretty grounds. My son stepped on a sea urchin and she was so quick to get us a nurse to help out. Really easy place to relax. Also the dog Lily was super sweet, my kids loved her.

Trinidad and TobagoThe location was superb!! It was in close proximity to food, groceries, beaches and night life but still surrounded by tranquility, nature and lots of greenery. The child I travelled with enjoyed the option of having two pools on the compound. I also enjoyed speaking with the host Sharon. She made sure I enjoyed my stay not just on her compound but in Grenada by providing a comprehensive list of recommended spots and service providers while also making phone calls on my behalf.

United StatesThere should be signage on the main road so guests know where the entrance is located. GPS brought us to the top of the cliff. This addition would be a useful touch for solo/foreign travelers who don’t know the land. Host was friendly but I felt bias based on issues I had. I paid host daily and communicated daily on my expectations for boarding. On my last day host booked my current room without communicating to me if I’d plan to stay although she knew in advance I was interested in staying up until the last day. I was left scrambling to find a place in my budget which took a few hours after checkout. Host surprised when she informed me I could not be on the property and called me a taxi before I could call my own to remove me as if I was unruly which made some parts of the trip no longer worth it. There was an incident with an older man who had entered my space without my permission, I should’ve been more firm with my boundaries with my displeasure with the host when I made the complaint. I did report the incident immediately after the guest was lingering outside of my suite and she spoke with him.The other guest was elderly, foggy or lackadaisical which I had compassion for but it was impolite to remove me but not immediately remove the guest who had entered my room. Locals who drove me in and out of this property had negative feedback to share on ownership. The location is perfect for a staycation but it depends on what brings you comfort.I like to draw my own conclusions and I can see how Caribbean and Western hospitality can be improved. Majority of the guests during my 3 nights were from the west /foreigners. As a visitor I would likely not return but locals should feel confident frequenting here. Management can improve by alternating guest check in staff so people can have different perspectives when handling issues, have security , a vending machine onsite for small snacks and ask for reviews after checkout on site.
The pools of the property were very picturesque, main pool is very deep if you like to swim but shallow ends are safe for small children. Rooftop pool had a great view and was also great for wading. I booked a suite with a shared kitchen , kitchen was very clean and conmen area would be good for families. Bed was large and comfortable, coffee station in room was a great touch. The room had stone walls so it remained cool in August.

Saint LuciaIt is nothing as advertised. The place has mold and smells dusty. There was no hot water to bathe. The shower drain was clogged. The room has a shared kitchen and living room. The pool was extremely cloudy and dirty like it had not been used in a long time. The bed sheets were torn and stained.
The location wasn’t too bad because it was close to the marina, the brewery and some of the other spots that we wanted to visit.

United StatesThere was a big issue with Reef View villas where I had to check out from after one day stay. The accommodations were very unacceptable. The room had a stale odor and moldy smell, which made it very uncomfortable to sleep. I had difficulty breathing after turning off the air conditioning. The fabric on the furniture was dirty, old with stains definitely needing to be washed or replaced. They were ants, cobb web, dirty bathroom with mold. I was not provided any wash cloths or pool towel as was promised by the host after advising there was none. The towels in the room were very aged and dingy. The pool was very dirty, pool furniture dirty, sinks with mold and rust. This whole place was very unkept! The surrounding bushes were overgrown and not trimmed. I was also charged at by an aggressive dog when trying to access the upper lever pool. There were no signs visible to warn. Leading up to the property was a dirt road, which wasn't a big deal, but surrounding the property were very overgrown plants trees n bushes. Lots of mosquitos, which bc the area was not kept. I am requesting a refund of the remaining days that I was unable to stay at this facility.. I was booked from the 10th to the 18th but couldn't endure and checked out in the early afternoon on Feb 11th. I addressed my concerns to the host, who kept me waiting for over 20 minutes as she was busy showing the place to a couple. She just told me to contact customer service. Thank you for your consideration in this urgent matter. Reply
