Great location in the middle of a tropical forest overlooking the ocean. 15-minute walk to Cabier beach. Perfect for a morning dip or any time you choose. My host Ingrid is a great cook serving ample portions for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Great place to relax, distress, and get back to nature.

I've had an absolutely lovely time staying with Ingrid and Thomas. The gardens and setting are just gorgeous, very peacefull with ocean views from the veranda. Wake up to the sounds of nature, cicada's and birds. I've ended up staying for 3 weeks! Needed a base to rest, walked daily 15 min to the small bay for my swim and took the local bus around the island. You can do everything from here. I would recommend to eat at Ingrid's, her food is absolutely delicous and not to be missed! She sure is an amazing cook and gardener among many other talents. When Ingrid smiles, her whole face lights up, be ready for warm Caribean welcome!

Big Sky Lodge , location, in-between St George's & Grenville, set in beautiful lush gardens with all the fruits herbs one needs to detox, from day to day city living, in my experience as a solo traveller I would recommend this healthy retreat, for the traveller wanting to unwind detox hone in before embarking on explorative journey across Grenada. Rising with the golden sun experiencing natures butterflies joyfully darting in and out of the flower gardens. The hummingbirds upclose enjoying their early morning drink, the sound of nature's, tranquillity, fresh sea breeze, My sea baths were a treat with a early morning stroll 15mins at most which brings you down to cabier beach. The vibrant colours, well manicured gardens, being able to get up eat and drink the produce to reground one's mind and body (sugarcane, coconuts passion fruit, lime s, oranges, bananas, moringa, purple basil, tyne) the list could go on. hosts are very accommodating and knowledgeable, and helpful. so if you need help in identifying the vegetation, Ingrid will be at hand. This is a nature retreat, No aircon, mosquito netting, and fan provided no televisions in the property, shared kitchen fridge dining in the communal building. the is WiFi, excellent Activities Trekking with the grenadian hashers family, meeting like minded people, from home and across the Globe. This takes place every Saturday at different locations across Grenada. It would be advisable to bring some trekking footwear. (Extra cost) .Board games, group activities, and games. Bus transport in easy walking distance, if you require a taxi just ask your host always willing to help. I booked for four nights and stayed for six nights

Beautiful location. Nature lovers paradise. I enjoyed my stay here more than a luxury 5 star hotel. Ingrid, Sophia, Thomas and Chris are great hosts and a lovely warm family. Ingrid cooks using fruits, vegetables and herbs freshly picked from her abundant garden. The sound of the birds and nature was exhilarating. This trip truly replenished my soul, I arrived burnt out from London and left feeling light and happy with a prong in my step

    Nothing. I loved everything.

The cabin is situated in a tropical garden which is a lovely setting where we saw our first humming birds. Ingrid and her family are very hospitable. The bed was comfortable. When it's completed the swimming pool will be a definite plus, in the meantime a couple of loungers around the garden would be nice. We had one hammock on our porch but not all rooms did and it is a shame not to have anywhere else to relax and enjoy the garden other than one not very comfortable swing chair at the entrance of the property. The beach is lovely and there is a hotel nearby where you can get drinks and a meal and the staff are very kind.

The rooms are extremely basic and although there is a mosquito net on the bed there are no nets at the windows which also did not close properly. There is no air conditioning only a free standing fan. The curtains are very thin so take an eye mask if you do not want to be woken by the sun rise. The water pressure was low and hot water elusive. The WiFi was not consistent. There is a swimming pool under construction so birdsong is not the only sounds you will hear until it is completed. There was no shared lounge "where guests can play CDs or watch DVDs" although one was detailed in the advertisement. Those with more limited mobility will find the surrounding roads difficult to negotiate. The local shop has limited supplies so shopping without a car is not easy. The “road” to the beach pictured above is also hard going and took us about 25 mins to walk. A general comment on all of Grenada: I would say 95% of roads have NO pavements and many have no lights and are in poor condition. This should be taken into consideration if contemplating hiring a car on the island.

This location provides you with the very unique opportunity to experience the more remote side of Grenada. It’s about a 20 minute walk from Cabier beach which was very beautiful and secluded. If interested, they will also cook breakfast and dinner for you (for about $12 USD a meal) overall I enjoyed my stay here, I just wish it was a little easier to get here without having to rent a car

The water pressure during my stay was almost nonexistent and communication wasn’t the best either as sometimes it would take hours to hear back

You may choose Big Sky Lodge with closed eyes, then, for sure, you’ll enjoy

It was delicious. And, that morning I truly needed it. So it hit the spot.

Phone communication was tough. I couldn’t get through via calls or WhatsApp messages when I arrived. That’s all, improve that and all shall be well.

The gardens around the rooms were exceptional!! They are now adding a restaurant and swimming pool. Pick a time for host to cook for you! You will pay for dinner but was very good. Host was a chef. Closest restaurant is about a 15-20 minute walk but very nice. Small supermarket same distance. The walk to beach area is about 15-20 minutes. No A/C but you don’t need one with the breeze except in August?? If you walk up to main road, about 10 minutes, grab bus #2 going north to Mt. Carmel Waterfall. You’re there and worth the trip for this beautiful waterfall. It costs $5EC for 2 people to cross private property. Go!

Need a flashlight or phone light to get to room at night. Plants and rocks to skirt around.

lovely hosts Ingrid & Thomas, beautiful garden, lots of birds, fabulous views out to the ocean from verandas, 15min walk to lovely sandy beach and adjacent ocean side cafe. Ingrid cooks fantastic local evening fare (mains for £15). Well fitted kitchen.

they have just started (21.2.23) building a swimming pool in front of the accommodation & a new restaurant, so you will get daytime noise most days.
