The narrow steep stairs. No breakfast included or available.

The property is full of character, which means very narrow and steep stairs with low headroom. In a quiet location (no parking). Bed very comfortable. Tea and coffee in the room. Staff were great. Easy check in/check out. We were able to check in early.

Room was expensive but understandable as rooms in very short supply for the Music Festival, and pleased they can make money whilst they can. No breakfast provided but lots of places nearby. Stairs very steep and little headroom!

Comfortable room in a very old pub, full of character. Perfect for a nights sleep after Henley Music Festival. Very good location for town centre.

Parking. I had to leave car in a short stay car park and walk, although it wasn’t far I wasn’t sure of the area. However I used the app at the car park and even though I didn’t pay at night it reminded me in the morning at 8am to add money to pay for car parking.

    Comfortable bed. Clean. Quiet.

This is a lovely historic pub building, so has thin walls and so on that comes with old buildings. Light sleepers should come prepped with ear plugs / eye masks and so on - but with these we managed a very comfortable night’s sleep.

We had a wonderful stay - check in straightforward and although able to accommodate late check out were very helpful in storing luggage until we were ready to leave Henley. Room was comfortable and spacious, with a lovely old world feel to it.

The bathroom door was very squeaky The room could do with a full length mirror and some shelving in the bathroom to put toiletries on rather than the floor. No shower - this should have been stated. Room 4

No breakfast included. We stayed for a funeral; it was very easy to walk to the curch

The stairs to the bedrooms have low beams so you will have to watch your head if you're tall, but to be expected in a very old building. No breakfast served but plenty of good options only 200 metres away in the town centre.

Traditional and old (16th century?) pub centrally located in Henley-on-Thames. Simple but clean and comfortable ensuite bedroom overlooking quiet road leading down to market square. Very friendly team running it and very friendly locals - a great experience. It's a proper pub!

Breakfast option would be nice. More info regarding the parking as it was awful. No parking on site which can’t be helped. But more direction as to where to park as all places nearby are max 3 hours. Took us about an hour driving around waiting for a street space. Deffo made for a stressful arrival. Not the pubs fault but more communication about it may have helped, or perhaps they could arrange with a private car park nearby for guests to park for a small fee at the weekends. Easier parking would have made it all the more positive is all.

Nice little pub, nice and friendly staff. Comfy beds and clean room.
