We took a budget room but it was very hot and the air con unit was very noisy! Now we know it's a great place we will happily fork out for a nicer room.

Not necessarily a negative, but for others who get warm at night, I would just suggest getting a slightly larger room. Even with the small fan unit, I found myself a bit overheated as there just wasn't a lot of air circulation. But if you don't run hot at night, you'll be absolutely fine!

I stayed in a small double overlooking the courtyard. It was cosy and clean, with a very comfortable bed. I particularly liked all the Ubiety products in the bathroom, and the complementary tea / coffee options! But I absolutely have to highlight the lovely, bubbly woman who was taking care of the breakfast patrons on the morning of Monday, Aug 4th. I didn't catch her name, but she came in with such lovely energy that it started my morning off on a high note!

Avoid room numbers 206, 207 and 208 the only view is a fence a meter away.

Great location, great views from the garden and terrace. Had an excellent dinner at the restaurant.

The room was a bit hot and stuffy due to no AC and a noisy and large floor fan provided instead. Thankfully, it wasn't the hottest day, so it was manageable.

The location was perfect, and some of the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, just as we had hoped! 💫

Room lighting was a bit dim for reading

Lovely old inn / boutique hotel feel. Close to station and bridge, in a quiet yard. Great bar and patio. Decent cooked breakfast.

The only downside was the continental breakfast. There was little choice of bread/croissants or fresh fruit. And the coffee was tasteless.

Great location though satnav made it hard to find. I stopped in the station next door and walked about to find it. Lovely location. And a lovely hotel.

The staff are all excellent from Reception to the superb bar & restaurant, great attitude, attention to detail, courteous , etc . The location and the place are ideal while the Chef and the restaurant are unforgettably good. Not only is the food delicious but also innovative.

I honestly couldn’t recommend it enough. Staff were above and beyond. Room was lovely! Water was appreciated, posh bottle and two posh glasses. Radio at the side so when we arrived it was playing relaxing music. We were taken to the room, not the usual ‘off you go’. We didn’t have breakfast but we spent the evening in the courtyard bar.

Would have liked a bigger bed but appreciate it would not have fitted in the room we chose.

Great location on the river edge and close to rail station with a large, well cared for and sunny terrace. Wonderful reception service with a warm and genuine greeting.

Can noise in the early morning as the path along the river is used then. Limited parking, likely to end up in the nearby car park, but this is free to hotel users.

Timbrells Yard was located on the pretty Bradford on Avon River. You could walk along the river and amongst all the old buildings in the quaint town.
