Very clean and well serviced rooms as usual. The hosts are very helpful and knowledgeable about the surrounding area regards eateries etc. Rooms have very comfortable beds and great en-suite services.

The design of a traditional cottage with sloping upstairs ceilings led me to painfully crack my head once. I was more wary after that. Not the fault of the host whatsoever though - just a moment of forgetfulness on my part.

Convenient nearby spots to park for free, either directly opposite the property in one or two unofficial parking spaces on ground, or in carefully selected roadside spaces avoiding the bus turning circle. A short leisurely stroll to the shops, bars, restaurants etc along the road. The modern electric shower surpassed my expectations and the harbour view from the front bedroom is outstanding. Friendly hosts Andrew and Iain and their pet dogs (which are kept behind a dedicated room gate so they do not make passing hallway guests anxious).

Such a warm welcome. The owner could not be nicer and enthusiastic. His love of plants and flowers create such a beautiful garden. The room is vey well equipped with all essentials and with the most beautiful view on the garden and bay. Just a minute walk to a lovely restaurant and marine center. Very relaxing town. Excellent breakfast too.

Fantastic location in Tarbert. Perfectly situated near shops, pubs and other amenities, a small bay and other places of interest. Stunning views from the bedroom windows looking out over the loch. Easy to find. Plenty of parking opposite. Spotless, comfortable, well equipped rooms. We were staying en route to Islay, it is perfect for the early ferry as it is just a short drive to the ferry terminal.

Andrew is a fantastic host, warm and welcoming, lovely to chat to… his communication and flexibility is also fantastic - he responds to messages and query’s pretty much immediately and was fine that we were an hour or so turning up to the property. Rooms were super comfortable and clean …. I highly recommend staying here!

No complaints except the main switch for powering the shower is not labelled, I switched the switch to off the first time, leaving the room as I thought it was a light switch .

Easy access to village centre and harbour. Friendly helpful welcome, from Andrew. Excellent fresh Scottish breakfast. Room and breakfast are well worth the charge .

I’m going to say nothing, even the weather was sunny.

Andrew is an excellent host and this is my second stay here. The room was scrupulously clean and the en-suite also. The view from the front bedrooms over Tarbert harbour was heaven and the house is a short walk to town and also to the lovely Shell Bay. I’ll be staying here next time.

Nothing - though the marionette puppets are not everyones cup of tea .. but I didn’t find them offensive and reflectived the owners personalities.

Quirky & eclectic, clean & a wonderful welcome.... my single room was actually a small double and much bigger than expected and spotlessly clean. It was a real “room with a view” simply stunning over loch fyne. Nothing too much trouble & even provided me with a hot water bottle after a very wet day. Bonus were their gorgeous bearded collie dogs
