It was a real shame that within the room the layout was lovely including the walk-in shower but no hot water put that on hold unfortunately. Although we had to leave early the next morning so that could’ve been the reason for the lack of hot water.

The venue is to die for

The rooms were not serviced while we’re staying in the room, which is fine, but if no one was going to be in while we occupied the room, it would have been helpful to have the rooms stocked for the amount of time we stayed. There was only enough coffee in the room for one cup each. The bed was a bit lumpy and we could have used a second pillow each. Breakfast should be included.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is stunning and the views from the rooms were unmatched.

Room decor run down and shabby window in bathroom above the bath/ shower that looked out into bedroom not great if more privacy wanted Food was overpriced and not good at all , uncooked burger still raw in centre served with cheap frozen chips and no T- bone steaks as advertised( told too expensive to buy in , so why is it on the menu ? ) replaced with sirloin but served with mashed potato and mixed veg ? What on earth, as a chef I would never serve a T bone or sirloin in this case with mash potatoes Really need to get a decent chef and rework the menu It was obvious the hotel had just been took over and had a lack of staff since the manager seemed to take on every roll Outside was overgrown and messy expensive room rate considering how run down the place is Given time a lot of work and money into the place it could be a fantastic place to stay and eat

Absolutely beautiful view over the loch, great location Room was a good size with two chairs in the bay window Friendly manager who seemed to be doing most jobs in the hotel

Property is rundown and in need of some TLC. Plumbing is old and needs updating.

Nothing that I can think of...

The room which we stayed was overlooking the Loch so it was beautiful. However the room was very basic. The furniture was very dated and nothing very fancy. The manager - Prabhas was very helpful as we arrived very late and he had ensured the keys were left on the reception desk. Next morning he was very kind enough to offer us late check-out. That was really very kind of him. We will certainly like to stay here again.

Some banging coming from the water pipes possibly throughout the night and no hot water in the am which let the whole experience down a bit.

We had room 22 at the top of the stairs. It is nice, BUT, there is no blind/curtain at all available on the window and the sun blazed in all afternoon. Worse, the foyer light well and upper stair window pour light into the room all night. Guys, a £15 blind from ikea would fix this. The shower floor needs nuking as it felt a bit oily.

This hotel is close to passing the advantage line. They are nice people and the food in the restaurant was great (so good to see vegetarian friendly options on the menu). Repeat, we really enjoyed our meal. The bed was springy but comfy for two big people - no sag to the middle, as yet. All up, you get the feel they are working hard to lift things. It’s not far off great value for money.

It was really cold, and there was only one very small heater in the big room with a single glazed window. We stayed there in March, it is difficult to imagine how cold it would be in December

Little bit tatty generally. You don’t get a great impression on arrival with old building sacks and barrels outside. The downstairs area has an odd layout also. Basically the place needs money spent on it to bring it to a very good standard.

Location. Room had a beautiful view across the Loch.

Bathroom with tub only with no mounted shower head a bit outdated. Some cobwebs in corners.

Our stay was good. Facilities could use some updating and polish, but a quirky lodge that was worth the budget friendly price. Views of lake stunning from top floor.
