Staff very friendly, breakfast excellent

Great location in the heart of devizes. Hotel is steeped in history. Staff friendly & welcoming.

Mattress was hard. Shower was very hot and I couldn't work out how to cool it down, everything I was trying was making it hotter or turn off.

Love the olde worlde ambience!

Great cuisine but expensive

Central location with free parking. Friendly staff- nice breakfast- and reasonably priced bar.

Good value for the price. Room had all the facilities we needed. Particularly loved the tea tray with biscuits and friendly staff. The cooked breakfast was yummy too and we appreciated the flexibility to serve us a little after 10 in the bar as we had done Parkrun.

Room was tired and windows were old and single glazed so it was quite noisy from neighbouring pubs.

The hotel is a wonderful old building and the location could not be beaten. We had a lovely view onto the town square but the double glazing kept the room very quiet when we closed the window/s. The car park, out the back, was large and safe. We had a very good dinner and the breakfast was delicious. The wifi was very strong so that we could check emails - to link up with friends - and listen to Radio Caroline on their internet broadcast.

We couldn't find BBC News 24 on the TV but this was probably down to us.

Ideally situated in the middle of the town on the market square. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice. Given upgraded room which was a pleasant surprise. Well done Tim and team top marks.

Great room. With private bathroom

No air conditioning. Very hot so window was fully open, the kitchen must have had a freezer problem so all I heard all day was the staff trying to defrost it in the courtyard right outside my window

Pillows bit big and puffy

Very centrally located, full of history and quirkiness. The accommodation was very comfortable and the staff were welcoming. We ate there in the evening and had a nice meal. Great value for money too.

The location was great. The staff was very pleasant .

Bed wasn’t the most comfortable, but also wasn’t the worst thing I’ve had … older building, so some things aren’t as modern as the should be.. but overall ok stay for the money value .
