Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandVery close to Paddington Station and Lancaster Gate Station. Hyde Park very close for a nice walk. Paddington is lovely, so nice and clean. Lovely area for brunch and coffee. Staff here were very friendly and helpful. Bedroom was what you would expect for London, small but had everything we needed. Bathroom was lovely, very big and powerful shower.

AustraliaThe hotel charges £25 per night to use a cot if you have a baby with you. This price is ridiculous for simply using a cot. We stayed for 5 nights so saved ourselves some money and bought a brand new cot from Argos for a fraction of the price we would’ve paid otherwise
Hotel was nice, clean and modern and in a great location to travel around the city easily.

United KingdomNothing. We didn’t expect too much for the overnight price but all exceeded our expectations.
Convenience to train station, great value for money in London- we just needed a room to sleep, staff were so welcoming and friendly- felt safe, comfy bed and great bathroom. All newly refurbished I think? Dropped our bag off and returned about 11 pm and bag in room waiting got us. Lovely walk to Kensington Gardens and into town. Great cafes nearby for breakfast.

United KingdomNothing. There were no hotel facilities other than a small check in area and my room but that is exactly what I wanted.
This was amazing value for money. A newly appointed room, all to a good standard. Quiet and comfortable. Five minutes from Paddington station. All staff I met were polite and helpful. I would stay again.

SwitzerlandThe window glasses are thin, you can hear all the noises from outside. The stairs are narrow, which is not a big deal. But as I had an injured ankle, I did request for a lower room but that was not met. However, I believe we did end up in a bigger room, so that made up for it.
We were on the top floor. The room was spacious and new. It has a parquet flooring, not carpet (very important decision factor for us). The reception guys were helpful. We met three different ones at different times during our stay. The location is great, just a few mins from Paddington station as well as to Hyde Park.

United KingdomThe room we had was next to the reception. We could hear every sound. People passing by, phones ringing, conversations. It wasn’t a bother until morning.
The location was great as it was a walking distance to public transport and ubers can easily stop nearby. The room was new refurbished, it was clean and new and the aircon was working amazingly (especially during the tine we went in the summer). Staff were friendly too.

United KingdomIt was a shame that there were some stains on the bedsheets. The rest of the room was very clean, so we think this was an oversight and hope that it will be corrected for future guests.
The staff were really friendly and helpful, and it's a fantastic location close to Paddington. The room looked exactly like the photos. The bathroom was very clean and modern. It had everything you need for a base to explore London.

United Kingdom1) This hotel felt expensive for a small room. 2) There weren't many amenities considering the price tag (just tea and coffee). There’s a £20 per hour charge for late check-out, even when requested. We were told (positively) that we still had 11 minutes left, though it did give the sense that we needed to be out promptly to avoid a fee. 4) Similarly, there is a £100 call-out fee if you need a replacement key after 9 pm (this was stated on a sign at reception). 5) Similar to other reviews, my mum noticed that her shower door didn't close fully causing flooding. 6) There's a NOX hotel nearby who also uses NOX Paddington's reception - felt confusing (I and other guests waited at the wrong hotel).
1) I booked two double rooms for my mum and I and we both liked our rooms. 2) The rooms has hot water and air-conditioning. 3) The Wi-Fi worked well. 4) It's in a great location. 5) The room felt clean. 6) The hotel is close to the tube, Paddington train station, lots of restaurants and St. Mary's hospital. 7) The receptionist (Biplop) was present and keen for guests to leave a review.

New ZealandOnly one criticism and that being that on our arrival at 2.15pm we were told we had to pay an extra 20 pounds to go up to the room 45mins early. The first time in a month of traveling in Europe that we'd come across that. We were able to leave our bags until after 3pm but we thought itwas rather greedy to request more money.
Newly renovated hotel with tastefully furnished room. It was in a perfect location just down from Paddington Station but not on the main busy street. We walked around the area and found some nice pubs, cafes and restaurants and also took a walk in nearby Hyde Park.
