How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThis cosy space, although small, was well equipped with additional thoughtful touches. The staff were very helpful and I have chosen to stay here several times, although I have difficulty climbing the stairs. The air conditioner was a bonus in hot weather.

The wifi was weak and kept getting disconnected. The temperature of the water in the bathroom kept changing. The room temperature was difficult to change. The room was very hot, e.g. between 30-33 deg celsius (so outside on the road was cooler). While there was a portable air conditioner it barely helped. Trying to change the thermostat did not help.
Hi Sir, I am sorry to hear that, but the air conditioner was not installed, so you should have tried the third option on the panel (fan). Otherwise, you would only put more hot wind inside the room. It is sad because you did not let us know about this situation. We could have helped you to sort out this inconvenience, install the air conditioner tube, and find a way to make your stay more enjoyable.

Verified reviewThe room was very 'compact' but every effort had been made to ensure a high level of comfort and facilities. It was spotlessly clean and there were loads of unexpected facilities - coffee maker, microwave, fridge, air conditioner. Room information would have been useful, and I could not get the TV to work properly...... felt very safe and secure.
It could have been easier to locate the key box but people were very willing to help. The property is not best placed for ease of getting to places to eat.

Verified reviewThe room was exactly as on the pictures, clean and good-smelling! Waking distance from the tube(15min) but also very close to the bus stop. It has everything that’s needed for solo traveller or a couple of people.
At first I was confused with the locks and keys but thanks to kind people helping out I managed well.

Location for me was okay as I was visiting friends in the area but if you’re there to be a tourist in London you will find that it’s not very central (20 mins walk from subway, perhaps 30-40 minutes by bus to the city)
During my stay I never met anyone. I had to pick up the key from a lock box that I had a hard time opening. Didn’t feel very comfortable as I arrived late at night. The accommodation is in an apartment with other rooms that seem to be rented out (all with their own key). A drying rack blocked the hallway the entire time (hazard in case of fire). Woke up early from the sound of traffic coming through the window.
Hello dear, automatic check-in is an advantage for the customer as it does not depend on third parties, so they have more freedom to come and go regardless of the time. All this information was provided to you at the exact time of your reservation, and on the day of your arrival another step-by-step guide was also given to you without any difficulty in carrying it out. You were also provided with a 24-hour telephone number where you could contact us to assist you in entering the apartment if necessary. Shared accommodation means that other rooms in the property are also shared between other guests, which is listed in the description of the room you booked. Yes, each person has their own key to the main door and their own room key, so we avoid mishaps and inconveniences, ensuring the best stay for our customers. The keys are protected by safes with codes and no extra keys are left externally, avoiding risks. Our property is also equipped with fire alarms and security cameras, meaning that with the slightest hint of smoke everyone would be alerted to evacuate the accommodation. Quiet hours are between 22:00 - 08:00, after this time it is actually expected that you will hear noises although our windows are sealed. Thank you for your visit, welcome!
