Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwedenCleaning wasn't that great, a piece of a broken lamp was on the stairs for my entire 2 night visit and one day, I had to remove sheets from the washing machine to wash my clothes way after the cleaners designated laundrytime!
The place was acceptable and if the purpose of the visit is just to have a place to sleep, then it's fine.

AustraliaLots of negatives. We had room at top of building top hot with only a small fan to cool room, Struggled to sleep. Small balcony outside window had old matresses dumped and smelled bad. Tiny room for 3 people, 2 adults and a child. Fold out bed very small. Barely enough room for 3 suitcases. Found a flea in my daughter's bed after she was bitten.
Very close to euston station.

United KingdomManagement: Didn’t get instructions on how to enter the building until I arrived and had to called the owner/manager. Cleaner was cleaning the room when we eventually got in (after 2pm). Didn’t realise I’d be lugging suitcases up 3 flights of stairs! Owner/manager was very helpful whenever I needed to contact them. Inside door code stopped working one day and we had to be guided via WhatsApp to reset it. Then a couple days later it stopped working again. Bedroom: Room was basic, small and very warm. Window opens and there was a fan available. Fridge very noisy but handy to have. Room is quite dusty and we found things under the bed from previous visitors. Very noisy, can hear everything from the other rooms. No curtains No door handle and can see through holes in door where one used to be. Could do with a good clean. Windows have seen better days. Bathroom: Shared bathroom could do with a deep clean. Toilet seat broken. Hole in window where vent has fallen down. Shower drain needs a good clean as doesn’t drain well when using the shower. No paper towels to dry hands, just toilet paper. One day I went to use the shower and the floor was soaked. Then when I got out of the shower I had someone trying to get in because water was going through the floor. I had to tell them at least 3 times that I’d just be a couple minutes. All I wanted to do was get dressed!! Toilet roll wasn’t topped up daily so that ran out quickly. Overall, you get what you pay for! Really close to Euston station but it’s cheap for a reason. I wouldn’t stay again. I’d pay more for somewhere better.

HungaryTerrible customer service. Ignored my messages and didn’t pick up the phone. Had to check with booking.com customer service if this booking is not a fake. They only sent the check in instructions 1 minute before check in time. When I called to ask some help the guy couldn’t even be bothered to really care. Sheets could have been cleaner but room is OK even though it’s slightly falling apart - not really visible in photos. Shared bathroom and kitchen are fine. If you want a room to sleep in and be super central - it’s good for that
Only location.

United KingdomCleanliness could improve especially in the shared spaces. The bathroom need a good thorough deep cleaning then regular everyday cleaning . The rating they currently have is a scam.
Location is brilliant….

United KingdomBooked this property to stay last minute as it was meant to be close to the train station (it was not) our train was delayed because of a death so we missed the check in, upon arriving the code was wrong for the door, contacted the owner and had no reply, left in the middle of London with two very young children and nowhere safe to stay. Utterly disgusted and a massive waste of money.
