How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Apartment was very nice, clean and comfortable. Bibi is super friendly and kind. We felt very welcome and almost at home. Location is one hour from centre of the city with very good public transport. If we visit London again we will be glad to stay there.

Bibi is a superb hostess with a beautiful home. I have stayed twice and everything was spotless and clean. The property is in a quiet location with easy access to Blackheath. As well as the comfortable double bedroom guests enjoy a private bathroom and access to the kitchen and living/ dining room. Free off street parking included which is a big plus for me.

Before even getting to the property, the host was amazing, with constant updates and checking up on us to make sure we arrived okay. When we got there, the property was lovely and clean, smelt excellent as well.

We liked it all, and the finishing touch was the marvellous owner of the apartment, who treated us as if we were family.
The property is spacious, very well appointed and calm. It is situated quite near to a fairly busy road yet there is no noise to be heard when you are inside the flat. Everything was very clean with good quality bed-linen and towels. The parking was very generous with plenty of parking spaces. The power shower is very luxurious and you can have use of the kitchen should you wish, although there are very good restaurants and an excellent fish and chip shop nearby.

Nothing I didn't like
Had a great stay in this apartment. Great value for the area, you get a nice comfy double bed, a sitting area and dining table, private bathroom and use of the shared kitchen with the owner, who is lovely and can't do enough for you. You basically have one end of the apartment to yourself. Very secure, gated modern development 10 minute walk from Blackheath village. Really nice pub next door and a couple of restaurants over the road and French cafe which we tried for breakfast. Direct bus to the 02 takes about 25 minutes plus the walk to the stop. Will definitely stay again when we're are the 02 for multi day events.

. Tea or coffee making facilities would have been nice. Host did offer full use of kitchen but as this was a shared space it felt a bit intrusive to use this.

Spotlessly clean with excellent facilities and plenty of space. Bibi could not have been more friendly and welcoming. I will definitely re-book should I need to be in this part of London again. Highly recommended.

The apartment was even better than we expected! It is in a quiet and safe area with a nice and calm yard. The transport is easy to use and there is a bus stop and a supermarket just 2 minutes away. The apartment is very clean and cozy. The bed is comfortable and we always had clean towels and bed sheets. There is a hairdryer, iron, washing machine, and dryer. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking. There is also a good table if you want to work on your laptop. The host is amazing — very friendly and always ready to help. She gave us great advice about what to see in London. We really enjoyed our stay and we will come back here again when we visit London!
