Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Beautiful modern establishment, really cosy and welcoming, yet modern, functional and simple. Comfort over all superb. Bed amazing, shower, shutters, vanity kit... brill. All styling minimal and classy. Welcome by the staff was wonderful. Felt very cared for. Coffee machine in kitchen area was a proper perk. fresh clean water machine too. facilities for beach umbrella and mats was a nice touch! Much closer to the beach than you think. Just a fab fab place and would love to stay again.

United KingdomNothing - ideal for a short stay in Nice - but no outdoor space to relax in.
The hotel is compact and well maintained, located an easy walk from the main station, but also convenient for access to the beach and the old town. The staff were friendly and helpful, and our room, although quite small, was spotlessly clean and comfortable. We appreciated the water dispenser in reception, with bottles available to refill with chilled water. Our room was at the rear of the hotel, and had no street noise at all - very quiet.

SwitzerlandWe recently stayed at Hotel Yelo Mozart, and overall, it was a mixed experience with some lovely touches alongside areas that could be improved. Location: The hotel’s location is excellent — just a short walk to the promenade and the charming old town. You’re surrounded by numerous restaurants and cafes, and there’s a grocery store conveniently located right next door. The loading bay in front is especially useful for quick drop-offs and pickups. Reception & Amenities: Melissa at reception was extremely welcoming and helpful, explaining everything thoroughly at check-in. We appreciated the secure entrance system — after 2 am, the front door is locked and can only be opened with a code, which added a sense of security. A clever idea was the glass drinking water bottle in the room, which can be refilled at reception with cold, ambient, or sparkling water. There’s also a self-service cupboard at reception offering extra towels and room amenities — a thoughtful and convenient touch. Beach gear like towels and mats were available to borrow, which was perfect for a day out by the sea. Luggage storage was secure, kept in a locked room, though it would be more reassuring if reception issued tags for stored bags, in case of confusion or loss. Room & Facilities: The room itself was modern but small for the price charged. The comfortable double bed, with soft pillows and quality bedding, was a definite highlight, along with the blackout electric shutters that ensured a restful sleep. A sofa bed adds flexibility if you need an extra sleeping space. The TV was large and allowed streaming from personal devices, which was great, although standard channels weren’t worth watching. We also liked the included non-alcoholic minibar drinks, nice tea/coffee facilities, and charming tea cups — small touches that made a difference. The safe was disappointingly small — it couldn’t fit an iPad/Laptop which felt like an oversight.

AustraliaIt is a littleeee bit far from the Old Town, so if you plan on making the trek to old town daily there is a bit of a walk to do.

SerbiaSoundproofing is terrible, but we did not mind it a lot, as we spent most of the time outside.
The location is very good, walking distance to downtown and old town. Very close to "our" breakfast place - Zeni coffee. Safe part of town. Small, clean and cozy hotel. It is not a typical big ol' hotel, it is more of a neatly stacked collection of rooms with very kind and nice staff. We had no issues with safety or lack of good advice. It was clean and cleaned regularly. Bathrooms have everything you need (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, soap, towels). Rooms have water, coffee and tea and small refrigerators, in case you want something from the minibar or to keep a drink of your own. There are no slippers (ladies beware :) ) but we knew that because booking.com page was very clear about the facilities. Anyhow, good value for money - decent, clean, great location and staff. Our room was 603 and it had plenty of space.
