Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwedenSea view was somewhere between a proper view and good glimpse. We had a cottage but thought that we would stay in the main building. It was great though and on the positive side a more generous and private balcony.
Fantastic location in a beautiful and very genuine village. The beach is mesmerizing and the pool nicely located with a view over the bay. Even if beginning of July we had no problem finding sun beds by the pool for entire family of four.

NorwayThe first flat we were given had many ants and we asked to be moved. The staff quickly found an alternative for us. The new flat was excellent with a sea view and no insect problems. The underground parking has a low ceiling, making it difficult to load and unload the car there.
Good property with excellent location and helpful staff.

United KingdomQuite small apartment, more like studio. Says would accommodate 4 but that would be really snug. Compact for two of us.
Excellent location, near to town and beach front. Secure underground car parking. All very clean and tidy. Great views over bay.

United KingdomThe bedroom was very small but we managed! There was no handrail over the bath in our apartment (15) which would make life easier for older visitors who don't necessarily need an adapted room.
We really liked the friendliness and helpfulnes of the reception staff. This immediately made us feel welcome and relaxed about asking questions. We thought the apartment was well equipped for simple holiday cooking. We liked the many hooks for clothes etc. We loved the location of the complex with its immediate access to the beach and only a short walk to the town centre. Secure car parking is an extra cost but well worth it in this busy resort.

United KingdomTrolleys behind disabled parking bay make it difficult to manoeuvre out of the space. Door to stair well would not open so had to keep going up ramp with suitcases etc and dad is disabled and found it hard going. Although they do have trollies for bags which is an excellent idea.
Staff were great. Pool man did an excellent job on the pool after half the sand from the beach landed in it on a windy day.

United KingdomBedroom is very small and claustrophobic. Can’t have windows or curtains open when in the bedroom as it is directly on a walkway. Whilst it is a sea view, being on the ground floor, 75% of the view of the water is interrupted by a long row of beach chalets. I’m sure it’s great on the first and second floor but not so good on the ground floor
Apartment was well equipped. Underground secure parking. Nice outlook of the bay

United KingdomThe accommodation itself was great. There are lots of restaurants in the area but not many were open in May. The supermarkets closed earlier than advertised too so do plan ahead if you're travelling with fussy eaters!
Great apartment with sea view, had everything we needed for a few days away. The staff were all really friendly and helpful and arranged for some birthday decorations for my daughter. The village itself is wonderfully quiet and clean. Booking .com kept us informed on all the info we needed in advance. I'd definitely recommend it to friends and family that want to get away to somewhere nice and quiet.

United States-The high price does not match the amenities provided in the room..which are extremely minimal.Only one toilet paper roll , one soap, etc. -For a 4 star apartment with luxury pricing, the interior design, the furniture, should be more comfortable and posh. ---There is no cleaning service during your stay, which is alright for a short visit, but you are expected to clean the kitchen well before leaving, which also does not "match".
-The woman at the front desk, I think she's the manager, is very kind and helpful. and everyone was in the front office. -I had an excellent location with a view of the beach. -They accept pets with no additional fee except for the tax. -The bed and bedding are very comfortable.

United KingdomThe price is high for the rooms and booking March, the hotel wasn't at full capacity, I don't think the hotel represents good value for money. Then they charge quite a high fee for parking, you would think this would be included. Pool was full of children screaming the whole the time so we never went in.
The location was very good, rooms were fine. Nice to have a kitchen that was well equiped

AustraliaThe standard of cleanliness not only of our apartment but also of common areas was not of a standard commonly accepted. Having to pay for parking in a small town such as this on top of accommodation was a bit too much.

United KingdomThe state of the property overall. I needed to use a saucepan, and it was rusty. I gave it a good scrub, and it did come off. This is something that the housekeeping team should pay attention to. Some of the hooks were coming off the wall and could not be used. In the main bedroom, some of the plaster had come off the wall, leaving a fairly large oppening. Attention to detail is not apparent.
The location is excellent and very tranquil, making it perfect to recharge the batteries.

GermanyFor a facility advertising as a 4 Star Premium accommodation, the condition was clearly below standard. The facility needs an urgent deep clean, with much paint work pealing and metal parts rusting. Our appartment was especially dirty. The Flooring in the hall and living room, especially adjacent to the kitchen, was dirty. This was the result of the uneven floor and a very long period of not being cleaned properly, due to the lack of suitable cleaning agents / equipment. The terrace was dirty with many dust balls and cobwebs all over the place. The washing stand had been thrown in the bush adjacent to the terrace and was dirty. Sun beds were covered in bird excrement and rusted. We booked an appartment with a sea view. The ground floor appartment we were assigned (#006) had a very restricted view with the view primarily of the swimming pool with a narrow view of the sea. This no way reflects the pictures used on the booking portal. The appartment was also in very left corner (looking from the pool / sea) of the complex which further limited the view. The bed and bedroom were both very small. The window was facing the front drive and passage and adjacent to the lift, so we could not open this at night due to noise. Therefore, the room was always warm. The TV had a very limited selection of programmes only in French and no foreign language channels
The appartment was well equipped and modern furnature. Le Crotoy itself is a very charming village located on the bay of the river Somme.

UkraineAfter spending a lot of time trying to sign in with the given booking ID and stay code, they told me by phone that it was not for booking users. For me, it's always stressful when in the middle of a planned journey, when I don't have normal internet anymore (and honestly, I don't want to spend any of my vacation time) reading all these long messages and trying to do what they request. I fully paid, chose my room type and view side, and provided details of when and how I arrive on Booking.com – it should be more than enough.
The room itself is okay, but they spam you with tens of messages ahead of stay requiring pre-registration and pre-ordering view, amenities, and parking.

Germany- Main problem is the reception and booking management. A booking change to remove 1 out of 7 booked nights have been refused, even if requested 10 days in advance - the contract said it can be cancelled 24 hours before the trip. Booking.com & CWT contacted several times per phone, email, and online form, all said "not a problem" but did not do anything. The receptionist said "it is not my problem, call Booking.com" and a Toll phone number in Paris of Pierre&Vacances never answered the numerous calls. So I had to pay the night at the end that I wanted to cancel. This is absolutely not acceptable !!! I will not book anymore in Pierre&Vacances, and recommend any traveller - not member of this organisation - to stay away. Otherwise, the outdoor swimming pool was excellent but CLOSED much earlier in the saison than the website said. We really wanted it, but could not access it. The indoor swimming pool was small, degraded, overcrowded and not clean. Moisture should not be there. The house could have been cleaner, there was so much sand from the beach in the living room where we arrived. The houses are mostly in pair, and sound proofing is not existing - we were waken by the noisy neighbours. The car park is only adapted for cars of size "fiat 500" or "Twingo". everything else brings you to the millimeter zone with scratches that cannot be avoided. requesting a weekly public parking card outside in the street is a better option. The carpark is so far away from the accomodation that it does not makes sense. Better to park on the street to avoid dragging the luggage so long. Missing toilet paper and refusal to provide from the room service is something I never experienced in this price category. There is a supermarket at the other side of the village to get some, better you know in advance.
The little houses are very well built, cute, well integrated in the town landscape and offers all necessary comfort. It is a good holiday feeling. The location is excellent, in the city center, direct at the beach and, very quiet. difficult to get better.
