How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewLocation is great and bad. This collects the tourists only. No real boulangeries or fairly-priced restaurants nearby. Everything is set to serve the purse of tourists. The live music on Wednesday was really nice. They were really pros. Price of the room for the location is attractive.
Where to start? Bring your own internet. The WiFi is not existent. These days this is like not having access to clean air or water. Breakfast does not have quality. Omelette tastes like having sand in it. Probably it is not made of eggs. How can you mess that up?? No vegetables. At all. Not a tomatoe or cucumber or paprika. Nada. Having the breakfast in the price means croissant and sub par coffee. We paid for dinner once. For the 4 of us we paid 100€ for 1 small slice of fish some haricots vert. Salad was ok. Our 6 year old barely touched the plate and still had to pay her part. No drinks. For this money you are better off even with the overpriced restaurants outside the hotel. This really cheap quality.

Verified reviewAmazing location and space to relax around the property
The rooms are a little dated and the pool area was a little unkept with pine needles everywhere.

Verified reviewThe location is amazing. Less than 5 mins from Plage des Fourmis, on the corner of Beaulieu Sur Mer, Villefranche Sur Mer, and Saint Jean Cap Ferrat. Even when all sunbeds were taken, the pool (which was lovely) and the surrounding area still felt quiet. The grounds of the hotel similarly felt serene. The apartment was lovely and clean, and the air con worked well, which was a great relief when returning from the midday sun.
The wifi was rubbish. Due to location, mobile data was also hit and miss, which made the lack of decent wifi all the more frustrating. The children's play area was a health hazard. Under the faux grass carpet, there were large bumps (metallic frame under the play area maybe) and hollows, making the whole area uneven and dangerous. Facilities were a bit limited. There's no tea/coffee facilities in the room and no little fridge to keep drinks cool. These feel like small additions that could add quite a bit more comfort for guests (especially Brits addicted to tea). There's no shop, which seems another odd choice since guests (like us) would happily pay (over the odds) for snacks, inflatables for the pool, etc, if there were.

Verified reviewThe location is incredible and the gardens are lovely
No sun umbrellas by the pool. We found it difficult to spend much time by the pool as there was basically no shade. We were really disappointed by this as last year there was and we weren’t aware that they had removed these. Also there was no aircon inside at breakfast and no shade outside which made it uncomfortable

Verified reviewThe location is perfect. Its situated to easily explore Cap Ferrat and just near Beaulieu Sur Mer train station to explore the coast. The hotel has absolutely stunning views.
Overall the hotel has seen better days, it looks tired and needs a refurbishment. The rooms are spacious, the air con is just right. The rooms are clean enough. No kettle, fridge or any facilities like that. Any drink at all you have to go to the restaurant. The food is appalling. Even the breakfast. Its France and the coffee is from a machine you get in corporate offices. There's no need for it to be so bad. There are plenty of great places to eat in the town.

Verified reviewLocation was excellent, the grounds and pool/waterfront walkway were beautiful. Staff was very friendly. Appreciated being able to get a family sized room. The included breakfast was excellent and a great way to take in the view every morning.
We loved our stay and nothing was in the category of what I would “dislike”, but two thoughts. One small request would be to have a better option for dedicated small in-room refrigerators. Warm-weather destinations like Hawaii or Mexico or the Caribbean have them as a standard since staying cool and hydrated in hot weather is essential. Depending on available capital, I would consider investing in a basic upgrade in the appearance of the buildings where the rooms are. Even fresh paint and modern color schemes would help, our room had a wall in the bathroom that just had a plywood board covering pipes. It’s such a lovely location, it would be amazing with basic upgrade in aesthetics.

Verified reviewLocation is prime in cap ferrat
Make no mistake this is a very budget hotel. They gave me 1 towel for 3 days and never replaced it. The facilities are from th 70s and desperatly need to be torn down. This is more a family hotel so expect loud kids everywhere Shower is very small TV has no connectivity to devices and only French Wifi didn't work at all the entire time There's a reason this hotel is under 300 eur when next door is a much nicer hotel is 1k average. Do not book expecting anything great. Know it's about the location. Room itself was decent size with large balcony.
