How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

A bigger selection of bread would have been nice for breakfast.
This was our second time staying there. It is a good place to spend the night when your travels take you through Lyon. The personnel is very friendly and we were glad to see them again.

Perfect location underway to the réviera, South of the Lyon trafic. The secured parking is an asset. Very good value for money.

The card door lock made entry to my room difficult, possibly an age/ wear issue.
I did not take breakfast. Parking was secure at night time.

The location is not amazing, but not bad. A hypermarché is within walking distance but there is not a lot to do close by.
Very good value for money, very friendly host.

The (very small) room was clean with a comfortable bed, but it was badly maintained - for example the bathroom door wouldn't close, and some plastic items were worn. There was only one power plug, and that was far from the little desk and the bed, so hard to use (luckily we were carrying an extension). But nothing too serious.
Very cheery receptionist (part time - there are no night staff) who helped us in several ways. Very near the Autoroute (A7) which suited us as the hotel was a stopover on our journey South. Comfortable bed.

This is a basic hotel But you get what you pay for. For driving south to Italy it was perfect for me. minutes of the motorway petrol station and supermarket close clean comfy bed. I needed nothing else

The hotel was in a good location just off the motorway. Perfect for an over night stay to continue our journey. The lady at the hotel was very welcoming and friendly. The hotel room was functional very clean and comfortable.

Exceptionally hot and there was no air conditioning.
Our room was cleaned the next morning (we stayed 2 nights) and we had fresh towels.We were very pleased and had not expected that. The shower worked really well and the bed was very comfortable.

The smell of cigarette smoke in the toilet.
The hotel is cheap and value for money. It is possible to walk safely to the centre of this very interesting and beautiful city from the hotel. Parking is safe and easy The breakfast is plentiful and there is lots of choice.

the receptionist from the former era and his arrogant servant - he let the guests wait in front of the gate while he ostentatiously smoked a cigarette and laughed stupidly, I understand it was 4 minutes to 5pm, it was his break, he did not have to give a service to us but he could have let us in, we came from Germany after 12 hours journey. I have never seen anything like this in my life.

NO AIRCON on a very hot night and rooms faced the sun ! so red hot when we arrived at 8pm. Noisy traffic outside so couldn't leave window open at night. Also the "secure" parking did not seem to be locked overnight.
Very convenient location at a great price, with ample free parking. Staff very pleasant and good choices for value breakfast.

Run down and not very appealing. The shower was a very confined space.

When we arrived we parked up and I went to check in and my sister and her husband took the dogs out of the car (as long hot journey) and we’re walking them on the lead and a man (presume manager) came out of building and started shouting at them and said dogs were not allowed to be walked within the hotel boundary - he was very rude. Considering we had literally just arrived and we’re not aware of this and you have to walk them anyway to get to the area allowed it was totally unfair. The rooms smelt of urine/drains and the hotel was generally very tired and not cared for. Price is not an issue but basic cleanliness etc should be standard.
The chap on reception was really helpful
