Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyOh...the endless stairs, with cases! But to be fair we.know there is no lift! Next time I will ask for a room on a lower floor!

United KingdomCheck in was quite late, would be nice to have an early check in option. No mosquito netting on the windows, coupled with a very noise air con made not a bad night sleep.
Great pool. Beautiful views and close to the old city. Parking was great.

United StatesIt’s difficult to get to the hotel from the parking lot if you have trouble walking. There’s a steep cobblestone path with many uneven steps. Also there is no elevator for the higher floors. It’s 22 steps per flight. The top floor where we stayed in room 24 is 88 steps. The manager is only there in the morning and leaves after breakfast. Check in is remote and there is a password for the front door lock which we had to get from a guest as we arrived in the afternoon when no manager was there. . There is also an unseen step just inside the front door which can cause a nasty fall if you’re not prepared for it. Rooms are comfortable but furniture shows its age.
The views from the patio and our room on the top floor are fantastic breakfast is very nice. With a good choice of meats, cheese fresh fruit and pastries. There is off street free parking and it’s a short walk to the center of town and the old town of Vence. Quiet and serene

IsraelI loved the hotel Miramar. I loved its refreshing, rarely-encountered-now simplicity, the yellow walls and terracotta-coloured simple furniture, and I still remember the "Ah!" when I walked through the door and saw the view, which is even more beautiful from the terrace. It was a lovely room to stay in. The hotel offers a lavish, varied buffet breakfast for 14 euro, very good value. The Miramar is for people who can appreciate this combination of basic comfort and cleanliness with simplicity.

NorwayNo air condition in the room, and very seldom anyone in the reception. We were informed that the reception would be closed when we arrived at night and that we would receive an e-mail the day before arrival with the code for the entrance door to the hotel. We didn't receive the code and tried by mail, and by phone several times to reach the hotel to get the code. Finally just before entering our flight we managed to get in touch with the hotel and receive the code.
Great location and view from the balcony, and the terrace were we had a good breakfast. Nice pool, and a relaxed atmosphere. And just a short walk to the old city of Vence. At the evening one can enjoy a drink at the terrace. Very convenient that the hotel has free car parking.

HungaryWe stayed in separate house next to the pool where unfortunately the wifi connection didn'n work.
Very nice little hotel overlooking the mountains and the hills. We loved the pool, the beautiful garden, the huge terrace and bar area which also had an excellent view. The accomodation was clean and comfortable. It is very close to the centre of the village. They provide a nice breakfast, offering pastries, jams, cold cuts, cheese and of course breakfast drinks.

United KingdomThere wasn't a kettle in the room, and it was quite small, but tiny quibbles really.
It has the most amazing terrace with a stunning view over the mountains. It is also a good location for Vence town and for St Paul de Vence. We visited 9 years ago and are glad we came back again, breakfast on a sunny day with that view is lovely.

AustraliaBed was very uncomfortable, the springs were digging in. There was no wifi in the rooms or outside. It only worked in reception. The hot water was incredibly inconsistent and I often had to have cold showers.
I liked the unexpected beautiful view from my room, The easy location, the pool and the cute vintage decor and style of the hotel. The owners were kind.

The "provençal" style, the breakfast on the terrasse, comfy beds, the amazing traditional setting and view, the fact that the staff leave you alone is a change from usual hotels and makes you feel at home. As soon as you need anything, The service is great. The new owners are really lovely and trying their best to improve the hotel whilst running it. We loved our stay and will be back. Everything is simple but good quality and wholesome.

United KingdomIt is a little dated but that is the charm - it felt very much the older softer side of the Côte d’Azur very charming for the traveller who likes this kind of thing. I know the new owners are making lots of planned updates so I can imagine it will only get better.
A lovely old villa witha gorgeous view and a short walk to the old centre of Vence. It has just changed owners and they couldn’t be more lovely. Very much enjoyed my stay!
