Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyIf you stay only for a couple nights it’s always a lot to buy dish washing detergent, a sponge, sugar, salt, olive oil and this is the reason why I don’t give the 10 points. Also the street in front of the property is a bit loud especially at the moment because of construction work.
Love the garden and that there is a heated outdoor pool, even though in winter it’s a bit chilly

The apartamemt spot is amazing. The view from the apartment windows is to the sea. The apartment has heated pool, in which you can swim for free. The apartment manager was very kind and friendly, despite the fact that was hard to communicate because we speak different languages. Comfy beds, full equipped kitchen, clean.

United KingdomVery minor issues: 1) double bed lovey and big but a bit hard for my old back! 2) the ascent up to the villa from the road is very steep and hard work in the heat! But …. It was well worth the climb to get the amazingly stunningly gorgeous views you get from every aspect of the villa and it definitely wouldn’t put us off going back again!
A beautiful chateau-like building set high on a hill giving amazing views of the bay with Saint Maxime to the left, and St Tropez to the right. The scenery is breathtakingly stunning! I booked 2 apartments so my young-adult kids could have their own space; ours had a beautiful terrace with comfortable sofas and a separate outside eating area. The apartments were both nicely decorated and homely. Our hosts, Laurence and his lovely mother were friendly and helpful and it was a pleasure to meet them. The shared pool was a welcome addition - and we had great fun cooling down in it after our excursions into town. The pool was clean and well-maintained, with the pool readings showing a safe PH and Free Chlorine balance (as I work in the swimming industry I’m aware of the bugs that can lurk in public pools and cause illness, and so I carry my own testing kit so I can check the readings!). Saint Maxime is a short drive away (easy to get an Uber), with lovely shops, cafes and restaurants. The ferry to St Tropez runs every 20 minutes and the journey is a wonderful experience in itself! We loved it so much we did it 3 times in 6 days! The views from the boat, the sun and sea-spray, and the amazing destination of St Tropez at the end of the 20 minute journey were all things not to be missed!

SerbiaUnfortunately window does not open. Could be little cramped if you are 4 (we were 2 adults and 2 kids), since it is quite small but other than that, all was great.
Place is amazing. Swimming pool has warm water and surrounding area is very nice. View from the place is great and for sure you will sleep like a baby. WiFi was super fast.

ItalyNothing, it was all perfect.
We have been there only for 1 night, from there we could see the sea and a large part of the city, we have been really well. If we had other opportunities, we would return certainly.

CanadaOur room was a little too small for a group of 4 adults. It is catered more for a group of 2 adults with 2 small children. The kitchenware is outdated....and the fact that we needed to bring our own toilet paper and kitchen soap, dish towels is inconvenient.
The views are impressive. Beautiful view of the beach & ocean which is literally 1 street away. The gardens & landscaping is immaculate. The owner was very friendly and attentive.

GermanyYou just have to be mindful that the entrance to the house is very steep and to park the car inside, you need to drive on this steep slop. It is not for everyone. If your car is a bit lowered, then you need extra care and less weight. But there are also 2 spots outside the gate where you can park if you are not comfortable taking the car up that steep sloop. The sitting furniture could be improved (esp the indoor dining table and chairs).
The pool is hard to beat. Amazing with very nice views and it's heated. The location is very nice and secure and you can walk to St-Maxime in 20-25 mins along the promenade. There is also direct ferry from St-Maxime to St-Tropez which goes until 11 at night and takes 25 mins. The apartments come with a small kitchen. The staff is very friendly and helpful. If you have a car with you, you can explore this area very well as there are very nice towns around e.g. Grimaud.

SwitzerlandThe towels were clean but you could see some blood stains on pretty much all of them. It could be tricky to park your car. the slope that leads to the spots is steep and tight.
The view from the room and the swimming pool was stunning. The swimming pool was clean and heated at 33 degrees. Hard to beat for the price. Workers were very nice and helpful .

United StatesMinuscule room with a stinky dead rate smell for $325 a night, way too expensive for what it is. Loud club music and road noise. Avoid at all cost. No one will be here to check you in but still charge you $30 extra if you arrive after 7:30pm. This was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. We booked this hotel three weeks before our vacation and were shocked when they took 100% of the room fee immediately after booking. The room was already overpriced at $325 a night for a minuscule 26 square feet, which we had to share with our 8-year-old daughter. Soon after booking, we found another hotel with a larger room and a better location for a similar rate. I emailed this hotel asking to cancel our reservation, but they flatly rejected our request, insisting they would charge the full price anyway. Left with no other option, we reluctantly kept the reservation. On the day of our arrival, we received a call from the hotel informing us that if we arrived after 7:30 PM, there would be no one to check us in, and we’d have to pay an extra 30 euros for late arrival. We arrived at 8:30 PM and were immediately disheartened. The room was located on a steep hill with over 50 stairs to climb, which was a nightmare with all our luggage. Once inside, we found the room to be a complete joke. The bed for our daughter was right next to the door, and the entire room reeked of a nauseating smell like a cheap car air freshener. The tiny kitchen had an awful stench, reminiscent of a dead rat that hadn’t been removed for years. We called the hotel to request a different room, but the person we spoke to refused to move us, instead offering a refund if we chose to leave. It was already 9 PM, and he knew it was impossible for us to find another hotel at that hour. To make matters worse, at 10 PM, our daughter wanted to sleep but was kept awake by incredibly loud party music from down the hill and noisy cars. This hotel’s pretty pictures of an infinity pool are deceiving.
A good heated pool with a great view
