How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewBeautiful little bar, so relaxing. The spa was amazing. We used it almost every day. Lovely cosy bedroom and a kitchen with everything you could possibly need. The staff were great.
A leak in the toilet that needed fixing. We did eat in the restaurant and it was lovely but not enough of a selection in the restaurant for vegetarian/pescatarian.

Verified reviewFamily of 4, 2 adults, a 5 year old and a nearly 1 year old. First time going skiing with kids so we wanted to make sure it was as easy as possible. We looked at flights under 2 hours and hotel about the same. We decided Bristol to Geneva. After looking at a few accommodation options we decided to stay at Logis Gai Soleil in Samoens (https://www.logishotels.com/en/hotel/logis-hotel-gai-soleil-1214). We went for a family suite so we could make food and bottle for the baby. We also booked transfers with Alps Transfert (https://www.alpstransfert.com) to ensure we had car seats and knew what we were doing when we got there. This turned out to be a really good option because our flight was delayed by about an hour. This was no problem for the transfer and the hotel gave us a code to get our key as reception would have been closed. Our driver contacted the hotel on the way and sorted our key cards and the hotel staff met us at the apartment which was in the lodge. This made the delay a lot more bearable and made for a seamless check-in for us (it was nearly midnight and we wanted to get the kids settled). The next morning, we picked up some pastries from a bakery a short walk away from the hotel (Boulangerie Tiffanie) which had a massive selection of cakes, pastries, sandwiches, etc! 4 x croissants, 4 x pain chocolat, 4 x pain au raisin and a pain traditional cost about €18. We hadn’t booked and ski hire, ski passes or ski lessons so after breakfast we set about sorting that out. We went with ESF whose office is close to the tourist information centre (again a short walk from the hotel). We booked our 5 yo in for group lessons which were 3pm to 5pm starting that Sunday afternoon - if you want a choice of lessons, try checkyeti.com (also does ski hire). The hotel let us know about two ski hire shops by the Grand Massif Express which they had discount with. Sport experience and the other is Extreme Sport.

Verified reviewOn a ski bus route, ski storage,
No hot water for 3 of our 6 day stay. No soap in the bathroom dispenser. A lightbulb was missing in the bedroom. Very small shower cubicle with shower curtain that stuck to you as there was no room to turn around in the shower! Restaurant food was not very good A Cappuccino was Euro 6
Dear Amanda, Did you precise that you served yourself without asking to the coffee machine because you don't want to pay ? We don't appreciate this kind of abusive behavior. The price of the cappuccino is specify in the bar like it's a legal duty in France. For the water, we only have 1 water system in the hotel and if your room don't have, there is no hot water everywhere and I don't heard about this this week. I've been 2 times in the room and I tried and had hot water. And just to precise, this room don't have a cabin shower like you said in your comment but a bath. I think you just want a discount but it's not correct. We work hard to make great holidays for our custumers as so many comments prouve it and I'm sad if you don't have good stay in our hotel. Verified reviewElodie is fantastic as are all the staff working through meals. The place is beautiful. The little touches and decor are so authentic. It’s a proper mountain hideaway 2 mins walk from the centre and a 5 minute bus ride from the ski (10 mins walk). The pool and spa are great! Food is amazing! Half board is definitely worth it!
Nothing.
